No one's POV
In Paris
Few days after that Bright left the USA, his friends came in Paris too. They started to work hard everyday so they can go back home quickly.
It's been 3 years now that they're trying to deal with some mafia stuffs but in the way, Bright made a name of being the CEO of Smith's corporation and now he was known as being the Young Billionaire.
Bright was sitting in his desk working on few paperwork for his company when someone knocked on his door. It was Angel who came up with some files in her hands, she was in a very good mood and has a big smile on her face that Bright instantly knew that there was/were some good news.
"Why are you smiling like an idiot like this Angel?" Bright was asking her with a cocky smile,he drop down all of what he was doing and focused on Angel. "I've got some news for you from the USA" Angel announced with a big smile ever that Bright smiled too without even hearing what Angel was about to say
Bright's POV
As I sat at my desk, buried in paperwork, the weight of my responsibilities felt heavy. But then Angel burst in, and the moment I saw that huge grin on her face, I couldn't help but smile back. Her energy was contagious, and it was a welcome distraction from the grind.
"Speak," I said, leaning forward in my chair, eager to hear what news she brought. She took a seat, her excitement almost palpable.
"First, it's about Win,he's won first place in running!" My heart swelled with pride. Win had always had a talent for it; he just needed the chance to shine. "That's my Win, he always wins!" I couldn't help but feel a sense of joy that was almost overwhelming. My brothers were the best, and hearing about their achievements made all the hard work worthwhile.
"Second," she continued, her smile still radiant, "we finally dealt with everything in the mafia. You're officially out of this dirty world." I froze, the words hanging in the air. After three long years of navigating danger and uncertainty, it felt surreal to think we'd actually made it. My mind raced, was it really over? "Angel, does this mean that even if I'm close to my brothers again, they won't be in danger?"
She nodded slowly, and I could see the relief in her eyes, but I sensed there was more to come.
"The last thing," she said, a spark igniting in her expression, "Grace is actually in her second year of college and she'll need to do an internship. And I've got a freaky idea!"
A smirk crept onto my lips at the enthusiasm in her voice. "I'm all in," I replied, feeling a rush of excitement.
Grace's POV
Today was a big day for me. I was about to start my internship at one of the biggest companies in the world: Smith's Corporation. I had heard whispers about the company's enigmatic owner, a young billionaire whose name seemed to hover in the air like a mystery waiting to be solved. All I knew was that he was often in Paris, and today, he would be back. I couldn't shake off the nervous flutter in my stomach as I prepared to meet him in person. As a second-year architecture student, this internship felt like a perfect fit for my skills. Smith's Corporation was all about construction and design, and I dreamed of making my mark in that world. I just hoped this mysterious CEO wouldn't dismiss me outright.
In the car, my dad's reassuring words broke through my anxious thoughts. "You'll be amazing, honey. Good luck." His kiss on my forehead felt grounding, a small reminder of the support I had as I headed into the unknown.
Walking into the company building, I was taken aback by its sheer size and the elegance of the decor. It felt like they'd somehow tapped into my own aesthetic when designing the place. Suddenly, I was hit with a wave of nostalgia, remembering that day Bright had shown me my room in his mansion. It was as if he had known exactly what I wanted. The thought of him made my heart ache; I had missed him so much over the past three years, more than I ever thought possible. I felt tears prick at the corners of my eyes but quickly blinked them away, focusing on the task ahead.
As I made my way to the hallway, I noticed a crowd of other applicants waiting for their interviews, all of us sharing the same mix of excitement and nerves. I took a seat in an empty chair, my heart racing. After a tense ten minutes, a woman called my name. "Miss Parker, it's your turn."
I stood up, trying to quell the butterflies in my stomach as I approached the door to the office of the mysterious Young Billionaire. Taking a deep breath, I knocked gently.
"Come in," came a voice that felt oddly familiar. I brushed aside the thought as I opened the door and stepped inside, my eyes widening at the room's decor once more. It was everything I loved, but then my gaze landed on the figure standing by the window, his back to me.
"Good morning, Sir. My name is Grace Parker, and I'm here because I'd love the opportunity to intern here, if you'll let me." My voice came out steady, though my heart raced at the prospect of what lay ahead. I was ready to impress the man behind the curtain, whoever he was, but something about that silhouette felt like more than just chance.
No one's POV
Grace felt the weight of nervous anticipation as she sat in the chair, acutely aware of the man before her, known only as the Young Billionaire CEO,who remained turned away, seemingly indifferent to her presence."Take a seat, Miss Parker," he said, his deep voice cutting through the silence without so much as a glance in her direction. She quickly complied, heart racing as she awaited the start of her interview.
"So, why did you choose to do your internship here among all those other companies?" His question was straightforward, but there was something in the tone that felt oddly familiar, adding to her anxiety.
"I could have chosen another company, but I believe this one aligns perfectly with my studies in architecture. I really hope you'll give me the chance to prove myself," she responded, striving for confidence despite the nerves bubbling inside.
"And what makes you think you deserve to be here?" he asked, still gazing out at the city, his posture relaxed yet authoritative.
Grace took a steadying breath. "If you're asking me, I could list many reasons, but ultimately, I think my performance will speak for itself." She hoped she sounded more assured than she felt.
"I see. But what if you can't impress me?" he continued, hands in his pockets, still looking away.
"I'll do my best to ensure that doesn't happen, Sir," she replied firmly, though a flicker of doubt crept in.
"What makes you think I would give you a chance?" His question caught her off guard, and for a brief moment, she floundered. But determination surged within her; she wasn't ready to give up.
"There's no reason for you to choose me over the others out there," she said, choosing her words carefully. "But everyone deserves a chance in life. Sometimes, we need to let someone show us what they can really do. You don't have to love me for now; just keep your heart open." The words slipped out before she could catch them, and her cheeks flushed with embarrassment.
"I mean, you don't have to judge me right away, just let me perform," she corrected quickly, hoping to regain her composure. It felt a bit reckless, but she was committed to making her case.
Finally, he turned to face her, and her heart raced as their eyes locked. "You remembered my words, didn't you, princess?" A smile tugged at his lips, and Grace felt a rush of recognition wash over her.
"Bri... Bright!"
