Bright's POV
We decided to grab lunch at a nice restaurant, and after placing our orders, we eagerly awaited our food. When it arrived, the table was filled with delicious dishes. As we dug in, I couldn't help but voice what was on my mind. "So we can head back to the USA, right?" I asked, eager to get back home. Everything was clear here in Paris, and I didn't see the point in sticking around."Yes, but what if we stayed for two more days? There's no rush, and the cargo will arrive in two days, too. We could use this as a break!" Angel chimed in, and the others nodded in agreement.
"Guys, you can stay, but I'm going back tonight. I don't need a break!" I rolled my eyes, trying to emphasize my point.
"Bright!!!! Please!" Angel begged, but I stood firm.
"Angel, I just don't want to," I insisted again.
"Maybe you don't want to, but your body needs it...for your health," she replied, trying to coax me into staying.
"Look, I'll take a break when I get home," I suggested.
"No way, Bright! You're staying here with us, and I don't care if you don't want to. You know I just want what's best for you. Why do you want to leave so early? There's no Eiffel Tower, no beautiful lights at night..."
"But there's no Grace around here!" I shot back, my voice rising slightly.
"So it's because of her that you want to go back home so badly?" Alexander asked, raising an eyebrow. "You know that with just one call, I could bring her here."
"Guys, it's more than that. I want to apologize for what I did to her that night," I admitted, feeling the weight of my words. Their eyes widened in surprise.
"What?! You want to apologize? What the hell happened to you, Bright Smith? Wow, Grace must have really changed you!" Sam exclaimed, laughter filling the air.
"Yes, and? I truly love her! Hurting her was never my intention, and the fact that she hates me is tearing me apart," I said, looking down at my plate.
"You love her that much?" Jacob asked, his tone serious.
I nodded. "She has something special...something I've never seen in anyone else."
For a moment, silence hung in the air, until Angel broke it. "Bright, this time I'm letting you go tonight. You're going back to the USA."
"What?" I could hardly believe what I was hearing.
"I said you'll go home tonight and make up with Grace," she confirmed.
A surge of relief washed over me. "Thank you, Angel!" I could hardly contain my excitement.
Time passed quickly, and soon it was night. I boarded my private jet, eager to return home. I knew I wouldn't be able to wait to see her again, even if it meant arriving in the morning.
THE NEXT MORNING
Grace's POVI woke up early, around 6:30 AM, and made my way to the kitchen. Bella was already there, bustling about as she prepared breakfast.
"Good morning, Grace! You're up early today!" she said, looking pleasantly surprised. I nodded, a smile spreading across my face.
"Yeah," I replied, feeling a little lighter today.
"The breakfast is ready; you can eat!" she announced, handing me a plate filled with delicious dishes.
"Thank you, Bella!" I beamed, appreciating her kindness.
