Y/n's pov

I gazed at Tommy, a mixture of confusion and disbelief swirling within me. Had I really heard what he had just said, or was my mind playing tricks on me? Tentatively, I spoke up, my voice tinged with uncertainty, "Tommy, can we discuss this more when I get back from Addie's house?" I needed time to process his revelation, but I also wanted to talk to Addie about this.

Tommy nodded in understanding, his expression a mix of relief and apprehension. "Yeah, take all the time you need. I just needed to get that off my chest," he murmured softly before rising from his seat and exiting my room, closing the door behind him with a gentle click.

Alone once more, I took a moment to compose myself before continuing with my preparations. With a sense of urgency, I completed my tasks, ensuring I was presentable for my visit to Addie's. Retrieving my bag and phone, I slipped on my shoes and made my way out of my room, pausing briefly to switch off the light and close the door behind me.

Descending the staircase, I felt a mix of anticipation and trepidation, the weight of Tommy's words still heavy on my mind. Pushing aside my doubts, I stepped outside into the cool breeze, ready to seek solace and guidance from my trusted confidante.

As I walked the familiar path to Addie's house, the afternoon sun cast long shadows across the pavement, painting the neighborhood in warm hues. Each step carried a sense of anticipation, my mind racing with thoughts of the conversation awaiting me.

After what felt like an eternity, I finally reached Addie's doorstep. With a hesitant breath, I raised my hand and knocked, the sound echoing through the quiet street. Moments later, the tranquility was shattered by the excited barking of Immy, Addie's energetic canine companion.

The door swung open, revealing Addie's smiling face framed by a halo of sunlight, Immy bouncing around her feet in a frenzy of excitement. "Oh, hey! Sorry about Immy," Addie chuckled, attempting to corral her overzealous pup. "Come on in!"

Returning her smile, I stepped inside, the warmth of Addie's home enveloping me like a comforting embrace. Immy wasted no time in showering me with affection, her tail wagging furiously as she bounded around me.

As we made our way to the kitchen, the tantalizing aroma of something baking filled the air, adding to the cozy ambiance. Addie turned to me, her eyes sparkling with curiosity. "So, what's the big news?" she asked, her tone a mix of confusion and excitement.

Taking a deep breath, I braced myself for her reaction. "Tommy told me he likes me," I blurted out, watching as Addie's expression morphed from anticipation to astonishment. Her eyes widened, her mouth falling open in disbelief. "No way," she exclaimed, disbelief coloring her voice. "You're not serious."

I shook my head, my own smile growing wider at her reaction. "I am serious. He told me just before I came here."

Addie's eyebrows shot up in surprise, her gaze fixed on me intently. "And what did you say?" she pressed, her curiosity piqued.

"I told him I needed time to think about it, that we'd talk when I got back," I explained, feeling a surge of uncertainty wash over me once more.

Addie nodded, processing the information. "So, what do you think you're going to say? Are you guys going to give it another shot?" she asked, her questions coming rapid-fire as she sought to unravel the complexities of the situation.

After answering Addie's barrage of questions, we settled into a comfortable rhythm, letting the weight of our conversation dissipate as we immersed ourselves in the simple joys of friendship.

Together, we transformed Addie's living room into a cozy fort, fashioning blankets and pillows into a makeshift fortress of comfort. Immy, ever the loyal companion, curled up beside us, her presence a comforting presence as we embarked on our evening of fun.

We laughed as we walked Immy around the neighborhood, the cool night air refreshing against our skin. Returning home, we snuggled up on the couch, surrounded by the soft glow of fairy lights, and embarked on a movie marathon, losing ourselves in tales of adventure and romance.

Between films, we delved into spirited rounds of board games, the friendly competition sparking laughter and camaraderie. As the hours slipped by, we shared stories and secrets, our conversation flowing freely in the dimly lit room.

Eventually, fatigue began to tug at our eyelids, signaling that it was time to bid farewell to the day. With a yawn, we retired to our makeshift fort, nestled among blankets and pillows, Immy curling up at our feet.

In the quiet stillness of the early morning hours, we drifted off to sleep, the warmth of friendship cocooning us in its embrace. And as the clock struck 4:15, we surrendered to the gentle pull of slumber, grateful for the bond that bound us together.

As the soft light of morning filtered through the curtains, I stirred from my slumber, blinking away the remnants of sleep. Beside me, Immy lay nestled at our feet, her rhythmic breathing a gentle lullaby. Glancing over at Addie, I found her transfixed by the glow of her TV screen, the sound of a YouTube video playing softly in the background.

"Good morning," I greeted, my voice breaking the silence of the room as I shifted to a sitting position, my gaze drifting to the screen to catch a glimpse of what had captured Addie's attention.

"Mornin'," Addie murmured, her voice tinged with drowsiness as she tore her gaze away from the screen, offering me a tired smile.

With a shared understanding, we both rose from our makeshift bed, stretching out the stiffness of sleep as we prepared to face the day ahead. Descending the stairs, we exchanged sleepy banter as we set about making breakfast.

After indulging in a hearty meal and whipping up refreshing smoothies, we leashed up Immy and headed out for a morning walk. Amidst the chatter and laughter, we traversed the familiar streets, Immy's tail wagging in time with our steps as she eagerly explored her surroundings.

As we reached the end of our route and returned to Addie's doorstep, I gathered my belongings, a sense of contentment settling over me like a warm blanket. With hugs and farewells exchanged, I made my way back home, carrying with me the cherished memories of our shared moments and the comforting embrace of friendship.

With the key Tommy's mom had entrusted me with, I unlocked the door and stepped into the familiar surroundings of Tommy's house. The comforting scent of cleanliness greeted me as I closed the door behind me, finding Tommy's mom diligently cleaning.

"Hi," I greeted with a warm smile, acknowledging her efforts as I made my way past her. "Hello," she replied with an equally friendly smile, her attention returning to the task at hand.

Heading upstairs to my room, I began the process of unpacking my belongings, the familiarity of the space bringing a sense of ease. Shedding the day's attire, I exchanged it for something more comfortable, relishing the freedom of loungewear.

Just as I settled into my new attire, a familiar knock echoed through the room, causing me to turn towards the door. "Come in," I called out, anticipation bubbling within me as I awaited the visitor on the other side.
