Flashback to a week before the chaos

Taehyung and Jungkook were out on a date and they were currently walking down the streets of Amaranthine Kingdom hand in hand. They were smiling and laughing at jokes they cracked themselves.
Well ,that was until Jungkook saw someone in the periphery of his eyes. He stopped abruptly and looked back and noticed everything being normal but still was in a daze because it was not possible for that person to be in the market.

He was still in a daze when he felt Taehyung shaking him.

"What's wrong baby?" Taehyung asked gently.

"Nothing, I just felt a bit uneasy" Jungkook replied and flashed a fake smile.

"Are you sure? Do you want to go back?" Taehyung asked gently cupping his face.

"No, it's okay. I guess it's my imagination" Jungkook replied making Taehyung nod even though he was not completely convinced.

"Okay if you say so." Taehyung replied.

"Do you want to try some street food?" Taehyung asked to lighten up the mood.

"Yes" Jungkook replied trying to cheer up.

Taehyung smiled and held Jungkook's hands leading him towards the food stalls in the market.

The rest of the day went smoothly with Jungkook forgetting what he saw earlier.

After their date they went back to the palace with lots of accessories because Taehyung said and I quote "my baby highness deserve to be spoiled".

"Baby go to the room. I have something to discuss with Namjoon Hyung" Taehyung informed Jungkook as soon as they walked inside the palace.

"Okay, no problem,Hyungie but come back fast I want to cuddle" Jungkook replied to which Taehyung nodded and left not before giving him a kiss on his forehead.

Jungkook smiled to himself and made his way to their shared bedroom. He went inside and was about to undress when he remembered the incident earlier. He stopped undressing and took his cloak wearing it on top his clothes to act as a disguise. He looked in his clothes and took out a portrait of what that person could look like and hid it in his cloak.

He took his dagger and made his way to the quarters of the guards. He walked down to a specific room and knocked on the door. The door of the room opened and as soon as the person in the room saw Jungkook, he opened the door wide enough for Jungkook to enter. Jungkook entered and sat on the chair comfortably.

"To what do I owe you this visit your majesty" The man asked bowing respectfully before proceeding to kneel down to Jungkook.

"I need you to do something for me Eunwoo" Jungkook said making Eunwoo finally look up.

Eunwoo was one of the trusted guards in the palace and had pledged his alliance to Jungkook a long time ago.

"What is it, your majesty?" Eunwoo asked.

Jungkook took the portrait and handed it over to Eunwoo.Eunwoo looked at him confusedly but nevertheless took the portrait and opened it. He gasped seeing it.

"Yes, look for him for me. Make sure not to get caught." Jungkook said and Eunwoo opened his mouth to speak but he shut him up.

"I know what you are thinking but just look for him for me." Jungkook said

"I promise to do my best your majesty" Eunwoo said bowing his head a little

"Good. Report to me as soon as you get information" Jungkook said and got up leaving the room. Eunwoo looked towards the door and sighed.

On the other side with Taehyung.

Taehyung after finishing his discussion with Namjoon came back to their room only to find it empty with no sign of Jungkook.

He frowned and walked to the bathroom assuming he is there but his frown only deepened not finding Jungkook anywhere in the bathroom. He walked out of the bathroom only to see Jungkook sneaking into the room.

"What are you doing?" Taehyung asked and Jungkook flinched hearing the loud voice of Taehyung.

"Oh y-you are h-here?" Jungkook asked and cursed himself for stuttering.

"Yeah but I asked you a question" Taehyung said folding his arms on his chest.

"Nothing" Jungkook replied and patted himself mentally for not stuttering.

"Then why are you sneaking in?" Taehyung asked.

"I just felt like it" Jungkook replied.

"Really?" Taehyung asked.

"Yes" Jungkook replied and Taehyung opened his mouth to speak but Jungkook cut him off.

"Why are you asking so many questions you are cutting down my cuddling time?" Jungkook said and pouted not liking the questions his Hyungie is asking him.

"Oh baby, I was just worried. Earlier in the market your mood was sour so I thought you were hiding something from me." Taehyung reasoned walking towards Jungkook and pulled him towards himself by his waist.

"So forgive me baby highness," Taehyung completed bringing his face very close to Jungkook's face

"You are forgiven hubby." Jungkook replied

"I need to take a bath I will be back." Jungkook said and tried to pull away from the hug but Taehyung only tightened it further.

"Leave me Hyungie. I won't take long." Jungkook said but gasped when Taehyung just latched his lips onto his neck and started sucking softly.

"How about we bathing together,hm?" Taehyung asked and continued trailing kisses down Jungkook's neck.

"Pervert" Jungkook yelled and pushed Taehyung away and run into the bathroom and looked the door.

"Kookie~, don't do this to me." Taehyung whined.

"Go bath in another room. I am not allowing you to bath with me you pervert." Jungkook shouted from the bathroom.

"I am your husband, baby" Taehyung said trying to defend himself.

"Whatever" Jungkook shouted back. Taehyung sulked for a while before going to take a bath in another room.

Minor timeskip

Currently, they were  cuddling on the bed in silence till Jungkook spoke up.

"Hyungie" Jungkook called out.

"Yes, baby" Taehyung responded with his eyes closed.

"I feel like something bad will happen soon." Jungkook said pouring his worries to Taehyung. Taehyung opened his eyes and looked at him.

"What makes you think that?" Taehyung asked worried

"I just feel uneasy" Jungkook replied.

Taehyung sighed and pulled him closer.

"Whatever it is, Hyungie will take care of it okay? So don't worry your pretty head and keep calm." Taehyung replied

"But still" Jungkook whined not being able to shake off the uncomfortable feeling.

"No buts baby. I told you I will handle anything that comes your way. So don't worry you are safe." Taehyung said and brought his hand up to caress Jungkook's head slowly.

"And who will keep you safe?" Jungkook asked raising his eyebrow.

"You" Taehyung replied calmly and closed his eyes back again.

Jungkook smiled and drifted off to sleep in the arms of his husband.
