Beach day

Lilys pov

It's been a few days since Dana had messaged me and she has reached out to me more but I haven't responded to any of them I need some time to process it but all she cares about it her other daughter and how she wants to make her feel happy, at first she was sending me messages trying to guilt trip me about how I don't care how I am hurting my sisters feelings but I didn't care to much because I don't know her and I can't even say I know Dana well enough when I haven't got many memory's of her but today Mom was taking us all out to the beach and she invited Lizzie and I asked if Leo could come with his friends and mom said it was okay so I invited them and I also invited Adeline because we haven't seen each other since the sleepover but we face time nearly everyday and she gossips about all the drama that happens in school and how everyone is loving me because of the movie

We got to the beach and I took my sundress off and I sat on the towel in my bikini waiting for Adeline and Leo to come so we can go swim in the water and play chicken again even though it will end up with me in the water most of the game as well, Lizzie came over and she sat next to me on the towel with her eyebrows raised knowing I haven't put my sunscreen on yet even though mom told me to but I didn't want to feel greasy so I told mom I would do it myself even though I knew I wouldn't

"Don't make me call your mother over Lilliana" Lizzie said pointing her finger in my direction and I huffed laying back on my belly trying to tan a little bit before the rest get here and I hear Lizzie call over for my mom and I groaned as I saw her walking over to me knowing I was going to get lectured about this when it wasn't even a big deal

"What's wrong?" I hear mom ask Lizzie and I keep my head facing down on the towel so I could hopefully avoid them both

"little miss did not put her sunscreen on like you told her" Lizzie snitched on me and I could hear the amusement in her voice knowing my mom will have a go at me for this

"Lily sit up please" Mom said stroking my back but I stayed where I was but i felt two hands lifting me up and I tried to get out of the grip but now I realise it was dad who was holding me knowing I couldn't get out of his grip but I still tried squirming out of his grip

I was placed on his lap and I gave him knowing I wasn't getting away with it but I put my knees up to my chest so they couldn't reach my belly and my arms because I don't like it and they sat there waiting for me but I didn't move, I moved my head and I could see my friends arrive and they waved at me starting to walk over to me

"Hey L you ready for another game of chicken" Leo said bending down to kiss my cheek which I saw Lizzie pretend to gag which made me giggle and I nod yes trying to get up from my dads lap but I felt moms hand pull me back down

"You are not going anywhere until you put the sunscreen on and we will sit here all day if it comes to it" Mom tells me sitting crossed legged in front of me and I glare at Lizzie for opening her big mouth when I could be playing in the water right now and I just cross my arms in a huff not wanting to do it and I see Leo fighting off a smile as well as Adeline which makes me feel worse

"Guys go and play Lily will join you when she listens to what she is told" Dad tells the group and Leo blows a kiss in my direction before running off to the water with everyone but I just stayed where I was I didn't want the sunscreen on and we sat there for a while before I Rose came running over to us and mom went with her as she needed to go to the toilet and Lizzie laid down on her belly and she fell asleep, I saw everyone playing and I wanted to play with them but my foot was hurting a little anyways so I didn't mind sitting here for a while especially when I know dad is going to leave eventually and then I can run to the water even though I shouldn't be running its a risk I have to take
