Once Mrs. Sophia was done with her speech the rest of the riders entered the arena. We were all separated into groups by barn numbers, then like last year we went through a course to see our riding level.
Last year I was an intermediate, and my plan was to become an experienced this year. All summer I had been working with Percy constantly to help get my mind off things.
This year our old head trainer retired and Mrs. Sophia is our new one.
It was Abbie next, and she did great on the course. Just a few faults. Even though I'd stopped going to riding lessons and only started to go to horse camp, Abbie decided to continue. She was actually really good. There was no way she wouldn't get an intermediate or higher.
Then it was Camille's turn, who of course did great. Her white thoroughbred horse Snow was beautiful as ever.

Then a certain red head came up, Vanessa. Her wound was finally healed. I hadn't spoken to her since the accident though....

Outside of the arena sat Jessie, his younger sister. They were both British royalty.

Next up was Renee, then Raphael and Jessica. Finally it was my turn.
Percy was doing amazing. His moves were precise and fluent. Our minds working as one. We were getting ready to do a jump when I look over and see Sahila watching, her expression blank.

"You'll be fine" Renee says. "She knows you're a good rider."
"A good rider doesn't cut it" I say.
"You did good, way better than the last time you went to horse camp" Abbie says leading Harmony.
Once we put the horses in their stalls we take Abbie to see the stables lounge, where me meet with Raphael.
Grabbing a Dr. Pepper I sit onto the soft light brown leather couch taking a sip. Abbie grabbed one as well since it was also her favorite soft drink.
Renee got Diet Mountain Dew, and Raphael got an orange soda.
Then I got a message in my phone.
Unknown: You better be careful this year.
Me: who is this?
Unknown: I'm coming for it all. You and your horse.
Me: I'm going to block you.
Unknown: do it.
Quickly blocking the number I put my phone away and take another sip of my drink.
"Hey Lauren" Ben walks in, followed by Jessie. His British accent was thick.
"Hey Ben" I say, "Jessie."
"Lauren"she says back.
"Me and some friends were going for a ride down the trails, want to come?" He asks us.
