Two Precious Lives| Request

AN: In this request, a pregnant Y/N gets taken and Leon must rush to rescue her. They both worry about the baby's health when safe once more, and Leon finally breaks down as his family hangs by a thread.

This does have triggering topics, but just for relief I can tell you that everyone is fine by the end of the story and it has a happy ending♡

I briefly feel Leon's lips press against my forehead before he rolls out of bed, the soft glow of the sunlight too bright for me to open my eyes to. I hum sleepily, still not ready to wake up yet as I curl deeper into the pillows and stretch my limbs out. I hear Leon's faint deep chuckle as he tucks me back in, then I hear some rustling before he leaves me to slumber some more.

I'm not sure how long I sleep for after Leon leaves, but when my stomach growls I'm forced to get up and feed myself and the little one growing inside of me. I'm only a few months pregnant, but I'm definetly feeling the effects now, unlike the first few weeks. I yawn as I change into some clothes before making my way into the empty kitchen, I pour myself a glass of juice, unable to resist staring at the wedding ring on my finger when the sun makes it shine, then I prepare a simple breakfast and devour it in record time. 

I sit there, feeling content and blissful as the comfortable silence envelopes me in domestic bliss. I smooth a hand over my growing stomach, a faint smile curving my lips as I imagine what our mornings are going to be like when we finally have our little one with us...

Leon's POV: 

After spending way too much time and money at the store for cute baby things Y/N would appreciate, I then finally reach my main destination- the office. I'm only planning on stopping by and finishing some paperwork I didn't get done last night, I've gotten bad at that lately, especially since finding out Y/N's pregnant. It's like my mind has completely switched into dad mode already, all I can think about is being next to my wife every second of the day, giving her what she needs and making her feel as okay as possible considering she's growing a whole tiny human inside of her. It's fucking amazing. I reach my office, already shrugging off my jacket and reaching for the file left on my desk when a harsh knock on the door disturbs me. 

"Mr Kennedy? You're needed for a mission. It's urgent." One secretary tells me, handing me a phone. My brows knit together as I wordlessly reach out and take the phone call. The secretary nervously twiddles her thumbs, avoiding my eyes as I listen to the situation. Without naming anything specific, there's a hostage situation not far from here, the police are unable to handle it since the organisation behind the kidnapping have top secret information about the Racoon City incident- which means they're not just some robbers or twisted individuals. I sigh, checking my watch as more information is given to me. The leader's name is Allen something or another, he's got some unknown connection to Raccoon City, and has been stirring the pot for the government for some time now. I nod, accepting the mission since I know I can get it done before dinner time. 

"Alright, I'll have the hostage secured and safe soon. Make sure the police are nearby, ready to arrest the criminals once I've dealt with them." I say before hanging up. The secretary hesitates as she takes the phone from me, her lips part as if she's going to say something, but then she stops herself, stepping back before rushing away. It's weird, but I've got bigger things to deal with. I quickly try to call Y/N to let her know what's going on, but she doesn't pick up the phone. I leave a voicemail, then also text her just in case. The baby's been giving her trouble lately, so I assume she's probably still sleeping or is taking another nap. I smile to myself, grabbing my jacket on the way out, my wife deserves some rest and relaxation after the years of putting up with me, and now she's battling with baby Kennedy too.
