You were cuddled into his side, face buried in his soft sweater-clad shoulder. The electricity had gone out a moment before in the middle of a movie and you had squealed and ducked into his body heat. "Relax, babe. I'll go get some candles. It's probably the storm." Niall rubbed your arm comfortingly just as a low rumble of thunder rattled the windows. "Don't leave me, Ni." You gripped his sweater as he tried his best to squirm out from under you. "I'll be right back." A light kiss was dropped to the center of your forehead and then you were alone in the darkness. Seconds ticked by and turned into minutes and there was still no sign of Niall. The storm was still raging outside, shaking the windows and casting shadows through the room when lightning crackled through the purple skies outside. "Boo!" A scream pried itself from your lips as the voice whispered in your ear from behind. You jumped around to see Niall, illuminated in the orange glow of the candle in his hand. A second later he hissed as candle wax dripped hot against his finger and you laughed until he came around to cuddle against you again.
