Ashley's POV

I woke up and went on my phone. I texted Dad again for like the 7th time, but he's still ignoring me. I walked out of my room and went to the living room.
"Hey, your mom isn't up yet. Do you want something to eat?" Brian asked from the kitchen. I walked over to the kitchen and sat down on a bar-stool.
"Do you have coffee?" I asked.
"Your like 14, you drink coffee?" He laughed.
"Yeah like everyday."
"Okay, French Vanilla creamer?"
"My favorite," I laughed. He handed me the cup of coffee and walked to the fridge.
"I have eggs, do you want breakfast?"
"I'll wait until Mom wakes up," I said.
"Mom's up and hungry." Mom said.
"He has eggs. And he cooks." I said. Brian laughed.
"Yeah, do you want something?"
"I can make my own food," she said.
"Liv, you're so headstrong. This is my house, I'll make food for my guests."
"Fine, but I get to help," she added. I laughed.
"I just want scrambled eggs." I said turning the tv on.
"Easy enough," Brian said. Brian is starting to grow on me. He has that 'bad guy' vibe, but he's such a gentleman. And his eyes are perfect! Mom has good taste. I texted Matt to see if he wanted to do anything.
"Hey Mom, can I go to the mall with some friends?" I asked.
"Who?"
"Maya..." I said.
"Is Matt going?"
"No...."
"Ashley, don't lie to me." She snapped.
"Mom, it's no big deal. It's just the  mall!"
"I want to meet your friends," Brian said.
"Why?" I said.
"Because I want to know if they're good influences on you."
"What If Maya goes with me and Matt?" I questioned.
"Then yes, but you can't leave the mall and you have to text me every hour," she said strictly.
"Short leash huh Ashley?" Brian laughed.
"You have no idea." They both laughed.

We ate breakfast and Brian took us back to our apartment. We all went inside and I changed into something casual. Jeans, combat boots, and a sweater. I walked out to the living room and stood where the couch used to be.
"Damn, Elliot did take everything!" Brian exclaimed.
"Language, not in front of Ashley," mom said.
"Mom, I've said it before." I said.
"Ashley! You don't tell your mother that!" Brian laughed.
"Well, it's true. We gotta go. They're waiting for me," I said signaling them to go to the car.

We pulled into a parking spot and walked in the mall. Matt and Maya were waiting for is at the door.
"Hey!" Maya squealed, hugging me.
"Hey," I said. "Okay, so this is Maya and Matt." I said to Brian. "And guys, this is Brian, I'll explain everything later."
"Nice to meet you," Brian started, "so Matt, what are your intentions for dating Ashley?"
"Oh. My. God. We're leaving now!" I said turning away.
"Wait, wait. Here's some money, and don't get into trouble," Brian said handing me a 50 dollar bill.
"Thanks! Mom you need to be more like that!" I said hugging her goodbye.
"Don't push your luck." She said.

We walked in the mall and got lemonade from Auntie Anne's.
"So, who was that guy?" Matt said.
"That's my mom's new boyfriend."
"Where's your Dad?" Maya asked.
"I don't know. He left us like 2 days ago. He told Mom that he was going to leave and never come back. Mom and I ran into Brian yesterday and spent the night at his house, he took us to dinner so I'm assuming they're dating."
"Eww, they so had sex!" Maya laughed.
"Omg shut up! That is so nasty!" I yelled. They both laughed at me.
"It's not funny!" I said.
"Yes it is," Matt laughed, taking my hand.
"Did you here that Kendall Jenner and Nick Jonas are dating!?" Maya squealed.
"No! Are you serious?"
"Yes! You so need to get an Instagram and Facebook. You're the only person I know who doesn't have one!" Maya laughed.
"I'm not allowed to get one."
"Does your mom check your phone?"
"Not really."
"Do your parents have social media accounts?"
"No."
"Then you're fine. Just get one." She said convincingly.
"Okay, I will tonight." I said. I texted Mom and told her that I wasn't dead and that she didn't have anything to worry about.
Mom- We're coming to get you. Meet us outside.
Me- why?
Mom- because I said.

"I have to go," I said putting my phone in my back pocket.
"I'll walk you out," Matt said. We walked outside and sat on a bench.
"I had fun," Matt said.
"Maya babysat us, it was boring," I laughed.
"It's never boring spending time with you," he said.
"Awe, that's sweet," I said kissing him. That one kiss turned into a make out session that was stopped by a car horn.
"Get a room!" Brian screamed.
"Omg, I'm going to kill him. Bye!" I said running to his car.

I got in his car and slammed the door.
"Are you serious?" I screamed.
"I told you not to do that," Mom smirked.
"It was funny," Brian said.
"It was so embarrassing! What's wrong with you?"
"I don't know, but I'm surprised you're still breathing!" He laughed.
"Yeah, where was Maya?" Mom asked.
"She left," I said.
