Chapter 52: Fireflies

"Jack I'm gonna go see Nico ok?" You told your boyfriend. Before, you used to have a huge crush on Nico but then found out that he was gay...
Oh well.

It kinda pained you in a way but you moved on. Well, You were not so sure. Anyways, after that, you met Jack from the Apollo cabin and you and him began being friends together before you two started dating.

And now and then, you and Nico would hang out because he was still your best friend!.
"Ok y/n, when are you coming back. Before 9?" He asked.

"Of course, I don't want no midnight harpies going after my ass!" You responded, he laughed so hard. He then pressed his hand on his stomach to stop laughing. "Ok ok bye y/n!" He says as you then walked out the door.

It was 7 right now and the sun was almost going down.
"I need to be quick" You whispered to yourself "for what?" A familiar voice asked.

You looked up and saw that it was Nico. You smiled. "I was going to your cabin, Death Breath." You replied, giggling.

"Oh well come with me" Nico said offering his hand, you held it and you two shadow traveled to his cabin. You fell on something soft, it was his bed.

"Thanks!" You thank, he chuckled. "No problem" He replied while setting himself on his black covered bed. He looked up and remembered the last time you two laid on his bed.

He realized that he loved you. He did.
But it was impossible for you to love him back because you thought he was gay but maybe he wasn't...
And the worst part was that you already have a boyfriend and if he ever did confess (which was almost a zero to him) he didn't want to ruin your relationship with Jack or the one with you and him, as friends though. It was good enough that Jack was not that passive. 

I fell in love next to you
Burning fires in this room
It just fits
Light and smooth
Like my feet in my shoes

"Wait what? Lie with you no.." She said looking down while blushing. Nico smirked, "c'mon please!" He pleaded. "Fine but only for a while." You replied while slowly but surely lying down next to him.

Little one, lie with me
Sew your heart to my sleeve
We'll stay quiet
Underneath shooting stars
If it helps you sleep

"Y/n look shooting stars!" Nico said while looking outside his window.
"Wait really?!" You asked going next to him.

Nico nodded, while pointing outside. And it was true, for the first time, you saw that in camp!. You couldn't believe it.

You were too busy to notice that you were slowly going closer to his chest. Your eyes slowly closing, you then fell asleep in his chest. Nico then did one of his rare smiles and slowly laid you down to his bed, he then put a blanket over you and went to sleep on the floor since he knew you would be embarrassed the next morning if he ever laid down next to you. If only he knew he's feeling towards you back then.

"Earth to Nico!" You said snapping him out of his daydream. "Huh what?" He asked, you giggled.

Then out of the blue, Nico said, "Hey y/n want to go behind my cabin (Midnight Harpies and believe it or not it was pretty big back there.) and I don't know lie down, watch the stars?" He asked.
