Lauren groggily rolls over the next morning, her eyes shoot open when she notices that there is no presence beside her. Although she hated to admit it, the green eyed girl once again felt that crushing sensation in her chest. Camila had left again.
She takes her time in getting out of bed, she shrugs on a hoodie before solemnly exiting her room. The raven haired girl eyes her toes as they drag across the ground. Why did she leave? Lauren thought over the previous nights events, she hadn't done anything wrong.
"Good morning!" Lauren's head darts up in the direction of the open kitchen. Camila sits over a small bowl, mixing some kind of batter.
"Hi," The green eyed girl states while walking over to the smaller girl, completely shocked. "What're you doing?" Lauren laughs, taking a seat on the counter beside the girl.
"Making muffins, goofball," Camila happily states.
The green eyed girl can't hide her giggle at the nickname. "Why'd you look so sad when you walked out of the room?" Camila curiously questions as she begins filling the cups of the muffin trays with the batter.
"Oh," Lauren embarrassingly hides her face behind her hair. "I kind of...thought you left."
Camila looks up at Lauren, halting her task at hand. She sets the bowl down and scoots closer to the green eyed girl. "I don't want to be anywhere else but here." She firmly states, brushing the hair out of Lauren's face, revealing her stunning jade eyes.
Lauren has no idea how to act over Camila's words. What exactly did she mean by them? God, a million thoughts were jumbled in her mind. "Whatever," Lauren sheepishly giggles. "Just make me some muffins."
Camila giggles before returning to the muffin tray and continuing to pour muffin mix.
"Well?" The brown eyed girl peers across the counter at the older girl.
"Those muffins were perfection," Lauren firmly states, gathering her trash and tossing it in the can.
Camila takes a bow, "Why thank you."
Lauren jokingly rolls her eyes. "I got cleanup, alright?"
"I'll help," Camila jumps up, collecting her muffin cups.
"No, no," The green eyed girl laughs. "You cooked so I'll clean."
Lauren looks over to Camila and realizes that this is a losing battle, after letting out a sigh she breathes, "Fine. Just let me unlock the door first, Ally will be by soon with groceries."
"Can't you get your own groceries?" Camila teases.
"Not when Ally offers to get them for me," Lauren adds with a wink before unlocking the door and returning to the kitchen. Camila sets the few leftover muffins on a plate as Lauren begins the dishes.
"You wash, I'll dry," Camila states with a smile.
"Fine," The older girl sighs with a slight grin forming on her lips.
As the two are finishing up the last of the dishes Dinah decides to make an appearance.
"Hi whores," She cheerfully bursts through the door, her hands full of grocery bags. Camila basically jumps out of her skin at Dinah but she quickly composed herself. Dinah didn't notice, but Lauren did. Her eyebrows knit together, she didn't know why Camila was so jumpy, but she hated it.
Lauren makes a mental note to bring that up with the younger girl later, but for now, she sets the thought aside before Dinah begins to complain about the lack of help. The raven haired girl quickly dries her hands before rushing over to get some of the bags from Dinah. "Why're you delivering and not Ally?" Lauren laughs.
