Treasures (Poetry Book Number Two)

Why Bother

I tell myself that it's just nothing,
She was simply just a friend.
But somehow I couldn't get myself believing,
Boy, what message are you trying to send?

I noticed this months ago,
I thought that I was the only one.
All the closeness that you two show,
Makes me wonder what mistake I had done.

I like it when I see you smile,
But it hurts when I'm not the reason why.
I'd like to be with you even just for a while,
But everytime you're together, I lose the will to try.

Should I go on or should I stop?
My head is aching for choosing what is right.
All I've done was clearly not enough,
So why do I hell bother continue to fight?
