Treasures (Poetry Book Number Two)

You Lied

"I will walk with you until the very end."
You lied. Everything you said was pretend.

"I will be by your side, forever."
You lied. That forever turned into never.

"I will be here to hold your hand."
You lied. Those words turned to dust and sand.

"I'm sorry, I just need to have some space."
You lied. The next day you had someone on your face.

"I'm sorry, everything I said was not a trick."
You lied. Your apology is as fake as plastic.

"I'm sorry, it's felt like 'Us' together wasn't right."
You lied. I know you'll be with her again tonight.
