When I Was Your Star

I still remember that one single night
We were gazing at the stars on the skies
You were holding my hand so tight
You were looking right into my eyes

Right above us were the stars twinkling
You said that I was the star of your sky
Yes, I smiled, you had me believing
But I was fooled, it was all just a lie

I want you too look at the stars tonight
Try and imagine that those stars were me
Look at the the stars, look at the light
Would you wish, or would you flee?

Would you wish for a life so free
Or would ignore and walk away?
Just exactly like what you did to me
You said you loved me but you didn't stay
