More Than A Pretty Picture

Words that I
Couldn't speak
My mouth is just
Simply weak

They end up being
Written in here
So you won't see
My drops of tear

Poetry isn't
A useless art
It's from the soul
Written with heart

Each stanza
Is sacred gold
A hidden thought
A story untold

When you speak
There's something missing
Something could only
express in writing

The art of poetry
Is not useless
It's the best way
That I can express

Poetry is like
The drops of rain
It cries out
The sorrow and pain

Poetry is like
An artist, a painter
It paints more than
Just a pretty picture
