Nightmare Come True

You and I couldn't be
So, you looked for another
Why didn't you stay with me?
Is she really better?

What advantage does she have?
That you chose her over I?
It feels like I've been stabbed
And for the millionth time I died

Then, one day, without a clue
I heard from across the room
That she is already with you
And you want to be her groom

From the blue sky above
I crashed down to the ground
It seems I have no more hope for love
I had to escape, to be safe and sound

My fears finally came true
That you are together with her
A girl you think better and new
With a whole different character

Poof! I woke up on my dear bed
The day as grey as what I feel
Is it only going on inside my head?
Or maybe what I dreamt was real?

I went to school with fingers crossed
Hoping it was only my imagination
But I am very afraid of that one thought
Maybe it wasn't a surreal illusion

I was in a state of shock and awe
You were really together, hand-in-hand
All that you did, with my two eyes I saw
I couldn't just watch and stand

I wish I didn't love you in the first place
It made me feel stupid, crazy, and blue
I want to run away because I cannot face
Your dream became my nightmare come true
