What A Wonderful Day

I looked at you with a smile on my face
I couldn't help but fall for you
In your heart, do I have a place?
Because my love for you is true

She smiled at me with teeth so white
It captured me, it made me fall
I looked at her, with her smile so light
I smiled back with an angel's call

He smiled at me, I looked at his eyes
I see magic dancing around
I walked closer, with swarming butterflies
He said 'hello!', oh, a fantastic sound

The words flowed out from my mouth
With both of my hands shaking
My infatuation, will she find out?
I just like to see her smiling

I greeted him 'Hi' in return
But my heart wanted to pop
His eyes making my heart burn
With fire so strong it wouldn't stop

I walked closer, and closer, and closer
Our faces only inches away
Her smell makes me want to have her
But I didn't know what to say

I could feel his breath on my cheek
It sent tingles in my spine
But my suitor, he will seek
And will insist that he is mine

Her smile faded and turned to worry
'Had I done something wrong?'
I just wanted her to be happy
Not sound like a stupid sad song

I can't let myself fall
I will only hurt his feelings
I had loved him, with heart and all
But I have to leave, with my eyes crying

She cried and left without a word
I watch her back as she walk away
I say, 'There goes my beautiful world'
I slumped and said, 'what a wonderful day.'

I love you, but that's all for now. Maybe. Someday. Maybe.
