Kid POV
Luna and I rushed to the scoreboard. It had been 8 days since we had taken the exam. Everyday ou anticipation and curiosity grew. We reached the board and held our breath. At the very top of the board, the names read,
"1. Kid and Luna Shinigami~100"
"2. Alex/Louis Fortri, Liz/Patty Thompson~99"
Luna I smiled and hugged each other happily. We had tied in first place! And our weapons had tied in second! We high-fived and walked to the Death Room, hand-in-hand to tell Dad.
"Congratulations! I knew you would do well!" He said excitedly when we told him. "Your weapons are very lucky to have Meisters as smart as you two!" He continued. I guess this confused Luna, because she tilted her head and her eyes narrowed.
"He means that whoever scores the highest on the written test is destined to make a Death Scythe!" I explained. Luna's eyes went wide. I nodded my head and she smiled a huge smile.
"Well then, I guess this means we'll have to celebrate somehow!" She said excitedly.
"I guess it does!" I agreed. Usually I wouldn't be as thrilled about getting the highest score. After all I am a Shinigami. But Luna seemed pretty excited.
Her happiness made me happy.
