Chapter 40 - Suspicious

Violetta's POV

A few hours past by and I still didn't talk to Fran. I hope she's not mad at me. I don't want to fight with my best friend.

I walked out of my last class to see Diego walking to me fast.

"Hey Diego! What happened?" I asked

"Have you seen Leon?" He asked nervously

"No why? Did something happened with Fran?"

"Ummm...yeah something happened" He said still nervous

"Diego, can you stop being nervous? Tell me what happened!" I said

"Let's go in a class, where no one can hear us" He said

"Okay" I said

We walked into an empty classroom. Diego closed the door and turned to look at me.

"Well?" I asked

"Francesca..." He started

"Yes? What about Fran?"

"Well, we made up" He said

I smiled at that but he didn't. What's happening? Something with Fran? If they made up why isn't he happy?

"And then why aren't you happy? Did something happened? Does Fran hate you? Doesn't she trust you? Is she ok? Does she believe we are together?" I asked panicking a bit

"Calm down Vilu, she doesn't hate me, she trusts me, she's fine don't worry" He said to which I calmed down a bit

But then why isn't he happy? What happened?

"Then, why aren't you happy Diego?" I asked

He took a deep breath, looked at me and started

"Violetta..." He said

"Yes?"

"Francesca thinks that..." He stopped talking again

"That what? Diego tell me!"

"That something is going on between us" He said

"Huh?" I said, shocked from what I heard.

No, no, no, that can't be happening! Me and Diego? Never in a billion years! I can't believe it!

"What are you talking about? You and me? That's impossible!"

"Yeah but not for Francesca, Vilu"

"Tell me what she said"

"Okay then..." He said

Diego's POV

"Tell me what she said" Vilu said to me

"Okay then..." I said and started telling her the whole story

FLASHBACK

I ran after Francesca, leaving Vilu and Leon alone. I hope they will figure out their problems and be together again. That's not the point! You need to talk to Fran!

I followed her as she ran away from me. She's not faster than me and she knows it.

After a while of chasing, I grabbed her arm which made her stop.

She turned around and looked at me.

"Leave me alone Diego" She said trying to pull away

I didn't let her.

"You have to listen to me Fran"

"I don't want to"

"Fran, we were locked in! I only told her that Leon loves her and if he continues like this, he's going to lose her! I told her how much Leon loves her, and that one day they will be together again, and no one will be able to break them up! I told her that their love is strong, and can handle everything! And we just hugged! As friends! Nothing more!" I said looking at her desperate

She didn't talk for a while. After some seconds, she nodded

"Ok, I believe you. I don't think you would ever be together, but what if you start liking her and she starts liking you?" She asked me

"Fran, that will never happen!"

"How do you know that? You don't know who you fall in love with Diego"

"Exactly! In the beggining, I didn't expect to fall in love again after Isabella, but I did. And I don't regret it. I'm in love with you Fran, and I don't wanna lose you" I said and grabbed her hands

She hesitated for a bit but then she smiled

"I love you too Diego. I don't know what would I do without you" She said

I came closer to her 'till our foreheads touched

"And don't ever, ever get mad at me again ok?" I whispered to her as she nodded

"I couldn't be mad at you for long" She whispered too

"And know don't ever say again that I like Vilu"

"But Diego..." I cut her off

"Okay?"

"Okay" She said to which I smiled

"Now I gotta go, Fran, and talk to Leon. And remember to talk to Vilu" I said to her and she nodded

I walked away to find Leon

END OF FLASHBACK

"That's what happened" I told Vilu

She was speechless.

"OMG" She managed to say

Violetta's POV

I can't believe Fran thought that I like Diego! Okay okay, calm down Vilu.

"Anyways, what happened between you and Leon?" He asked me

"He believes the same. But, we didn't made up" I said and looked down

"Don't worry everything wil be fine" He said

"I hope so Diego, I hope so" I said still looking at the ground

"As I said before, your love is too strong and I bet one day he will understand that being away from you hurts him more than what Tomas did, and that's when you will made up" He said to which I looked at him

"Do you really believe this?" I asked

"No, I know it" He said and I smiled

He returned it and opened his arms for a hug.

I hugged him. He's a good friend and helps me with Leon. I don't want him as something more than a friend, so does he.

We pulled away when we heard the door of the class opening.

We pulled away to see unfortunately...Fran and Leon.

No, not again! I can't believe this!

"Diego? You told me you went to find Leon!" Fran said

"Violetta you told me that nothing's going on!" Leon said

"Fran, I went to find Leon, I just saw Vilu and talked to her" Diego said trying to explain

"Leon, nothing's going on, he just helped me, nothing more!" I said

"Fran, we are friends! Friends can hug each other, right? Me and Vilu can hug each other! But not as something more than friends!" Diego said

"Yeah, you're right, I'm sorry, I just think something's going on" Fran said

"Come on, let's go I'll talk to you about that later" Diego said

Fran nodded and they walked out

I turned to Leon.

"Leon, nothing's going on. Diego's just a friend" I said

"You told me that he helped you. What do you mean?" He asked

"He told me that you love me, and one day we will be together. He helps me remember how much I love you" I said

"Fine...I still think that something's going on" He said

"But Leon-" He cut me off

"Just forget it" He said and left the room.

I looked down, really hurt. I'm so sad Leon wants to stay away from me. All because of someone who locked us in.

I want to be back with Leon...
