May Nothing But Death Do Us Part

The next day, it was Saturday and Jenna and I met up to hang out at the mall.

Jenna: Meet me in the parking lot.

Myself: Okay.

So, I did meet her in the parking lot. She waved at me.

"Hey, Tyler!" She started running over to me.

"Hi."

"What should we start doing?"

"I don't know, we're at the mall.."

"We were just going to walk through the mall, like a walk.. Except, it's not outside."

That's weird and strange.

"Cool."

As we walk up to the mall, Jenna starts up another conversation.

"Are you fond of happily ever afters?"

"Is that a book?"

"No.. Those things at the end of childrens' books, you know, 'And they lived happily ever after.'"

"Oh, those. Yeah, I am fond of them." I respond.

"Do you believe in happily ever afters?"

"Do I believe in happily ever afters? What kind of question is that?"

"Do you think that people can stay together forever and still remain to be happy?"

"No, forever is fake. Plus, death will do this particular couple apart and that is not a happily ever after."

"What if this particular couple is and was happy until one of them died?"

"If one of them die, the other would get depressed and/or move on. They get get so depressed that they kill themselves or if they move on, that is not a happily ever after."

Jenna scoffs.

"What?"

"Now, my mission is to make you believe in happily ever afters."

"Good luck with that."

We ended up walking around the mall multiple times and both of us went home individually.

Happily ever afters aren't real and there is nothing she can do to make me believe that we can get through this life together, without one of us dying, without getting divorced. Wait a second, did I say, 'We?' Oh no, tell me I don't like her in that way.
