chap 2 - the alpha

Nagpe prepare na kami sa gagawin naming investigation.

"remember our goal is to determine if the said location is a lycan hide out or not. That's it. Once you get the info, go back here immediately. do not engage. if you feel any threat, just go back. remember, do.not.engage" our commander sternly said.

when we arrive at the said location. there's a huge house, seems a normal house but covered with gates. Sobrang bilis ng tibok ng puso ko. feeling ko nagpapalpitate na ko. i don't know if this is due to nervousness or excitement. Blade suddenly grab and squeeze my hand, i squeeze back to say i'm okay. we move stealthily, careful and quiet.

We stop a few feet away from the location. Kath and ella are on the tree with their binoculars watching the area. Dave and Miraine are on the opposite side of where blade and i are.

Nakadapa kami sa mga damuhan, watching...waiting...the anticipation is killing me!

"breath Zea" blade whisper.

I smile, he knows that i'm not afraid. i'm actually thrilled. but because of this, blade is kinda over protective of me, because he knows, i move with my instinct and sometimes over rush things.

After almost 3 hours, nothing's happening. we're still alert but we are now edgy. mali kaya ang wave 48? anyway, we are yet to determine.

Until suddenly my skin prickle and the hair on the back of my neck are now standing. what the? My head is screaming danger! there's a sinister aura coming from the big house we are watching. surprisingly i'm not afraid but it sends my nerves on high alert. i'm ready to start the ball rolling if anything.

we got a signal from kath and ella on our speaker earrings. before they can even finish shouting RETREAT, three man can be seen outside from the house which in a blink are now standing infront of us. what the fck! they're fast, safe to say they are not human.

fck, i heard blade mutter.

"retreat! Zea, do not engage!" blade shout.

"too late buddy!" because i'm already on my way. i heard blade mutter several curses again but my silver daggers are now flying towards the lycans.

Blade is now fighting as well but three heads are better than two yeah? dehado kami. i reach for dave and miraine through the speaker earrings.

"miraine, dave! we got a situation" i said while trying to dodge the other wolf pawing at me.

"we're on our way" dave answer.

the man pawing at me awhile ago is nowhere to be found. instead i'm infront of a big white wolf! sht! shifter! i throw daggers again. it go straight to it's face however, this monster doesn't even blink an eye. sht! yan ang tunay na makapal ang muka!

"hey dog...w-wanna play?" i ask.

it answer with a loud howl.

"anak ng! wag ka ng magtawag!" i mumble

sakto namang dumating sila miraine at dave na agad tinulungan si blade sagupain ang dalawa pang lycan. agad na lumipat si blade at sinampahan yung shifter sa harap ko.

"Run Zea, pullback! report to the HQ!" blade said while trying to get the attention of the shifter. sinaksak nya ito sa likod ng hawak nyang patalim. the shifter grunt at malakas na iwinasiwag si blade para malaglag mula sa likod ng shifter.

"Zea! i'm commanding you as your leader to pullback!" mukang galit na ang mokong.

as if i will leave him and the others. umatras ako konti para magkaroon ng magandang anggulo then i reach for my silver bow and arrow. if my daggers didn't work. my bow and arrow will.

I make my stance and aim for the shifter's heart. sht! if werewolf are way bigger than normal wolf then this is way bigger than the normal werewolf! this wolf has a rank then. i can't accurately tell where the heart is, but i will have to try.

"Zea! what the fck are you doing?!" oh sht, galit na nga si blade.

"figthing... nakalimutan mo na bang fighter ako, hindi runner"

at pinakawalan ko yung palaso ko. the shifter howl in pain and fall into the ground pero dahil buhay pa sya, that means i missed the heart. i'll try again! i make a stance again when.... we heard a guttural sound that sends ominous power in the air, my whole body shudder. crap! that's a serious power.

"Zea!" blade called me and reached for my hand.

i'm about to take it but....instead i send my one remaining dagger through his shoulder para mapaatras sya pabalik. kung hindi... baka wala na syang kamay ngayon.

too fast to describe what happen. there's a man standing between me and blade now. his bare back is on my way of sight, all i can see are scars and lean muscles while his black hair is hanging lose on his shoulder.

this man.... is where the sinister and deadly aura is coming from like smoke.

this man... is the Alpha!
