Destrodia:
Finn was not happy; despite working his way up through the ranks rapidly, bypassing most of them by becoming a Breeder, it was clear he was still not respected enough.
Despite bragging to his mates that a job in the Medic Security Unit or MSU was a given, he ended up rejcted and humiliated by Crux, that little crippled tosser running the Unit, who told him to return 'if' and 'when' he could become a team-player.
Needless to say, Finn had reacted violently, only to be brought to his knees by a single blow from the Head of MSU, a large muscular ape named Grant.
Grant had been chosen almost immediately for his position by both Crux and Amicius; they had already discussed the intention of hiring him should he aapply and clearly sailed through the interviews, leading Crux to inform him of his position there and then.
Such was Grants' dedication to the role, as well as his protective urges to the women in Destrodia, he had offered to start straight away and having 'uniformed-up' in the next door flat, stood in position by Crux's side; it would certainly prove difficult to locate a more loyal bodyguard/guard dog and Grant became loyal to both of his employers immediately, treating them both equal respect and deference.
The interviews for staff in the Medical Unit (MU) had been spread over several days in the end as the influx of dark-angels applying all had to be scrutinised and closely studied; Amicius took the MU potentials through emergency scenarios in groups of four to assess their capabilities, whilst Crux read their files and took notes.
When Crux was assessing the physical fitness and combatative skills of potential MSU crew, Amicius's role reversed and she took notes and read files.
Alex ran the MSU when Crux was off-duty although these hours were few and far between; both Crux and Amicius were aware that their choices now would reflect on the entire project and therefore were fastidious in their commitment to the Unit.
Amicius had found choosing the medical staff difficult; many of the women applying were under the control of a male partner, which ruled them out, along with the Breeders as sadly these categories would be used as no more than 'drug-whores', trying to smuggle medicines out at the behest of a violent partner.
Many of the applicants were young and mouthy but Amicius had chosen a couple of these who showed potential and believed the cockiness would go with discipline.
The most difficult role she had to fill was the role of Senior Medical Unit Supervisor (SMUS), who would be in charge of the opposite shift to Amicius's in the longterm although the running of the drugs cabinet would be kept between her and Crux, meaning that they would need to be permanently 'on-call' but as they didn't leave Destrodia, they could be called by paging them easily enough.
With Grant heading up the same crew as Crux, being his second in all matters, as well as being in control of Alex and his team on the opposite shift, he alternated between the two; in reality he was enjoying helping to set up the MU so much that he seldom had breaks either, often taking meals with Amicius and Crux behind the Reception desk of the Unit.
Leaving Amicius to plough her way through the final fifty applicants, in order to find ten more staff and the Supervisor, Crux and Grant were finally interviewing for the last few members.
They had decided between them to have ten staff per twelve hour shift, with either Alex or Grant in overall charge of the shift; from these, four were to cover the door and two to cover the Waiting room, leaving two of the four left to shadow the nurses treating the patients and the remaining two to alternate positions, to ensure each guard stayed fresh and had breaks regularly.
