Destrodia: -- Medical Unit.
Two days ago, Grant had responded to a rumour that 'one of the Breeder males had flipped and attacked his mate.'
Running on ahead of the Medical Team, most with little to no experience, with half of his Security force fom the MU, Grant had been shocked and appalled at what he witnessed on arrival.
Firstly, the call involved a couple that were on the upper-level, meaning the female was expecting which was unacceptable in the Destrodian society and secondly, the scene that greeted him as he shoulder-barged his way through.
The male Breeder sat astride his partner, pummelling her face, body, back, wherever he could land a blow he was; blood was spraying everywhere and the female, curled into a fetal position to feebly attempt to detract his blows was lifeless and clerly had sustained many severe injuries.
What astounded Grant the most was that the crowd gathered round had not even attempted to extract the female from the situation she was in; there was enough of them that they could have easily over-powered Finn yet all stood dumbstruck, not offering assistance or intervention.
Grant was incredulous; despite the nefarious, violent and despicable demeanour of most darksiders and the dark rules they lived by, females were revered, particularly pregnant ones.
Shoving the remaining few darksiders in his way aside, Grant grabbed hold of Finn and lifted him bodily off of his feet with one hand.
Dodging the flaying legs and arms, Grant easily took Finn to the ground; such was his disgust at what he had witnessed, his pent up aggression regarding the situation was being used to restrain Finn but in a controlled manner--if truth be known, looking at the poor girl lifeless as a ragdoll on the lounge floor, it took all of Grants' control to prevent him from meteing out the same punishment on Finn himself.
Beckoning to his back-up team to restrain the still bellowing Finn, he pushed through the crowds, ordering them to disperse as he did and met with Amicius, heading up the medical team, to let her know it was safe to enter the room.
Briefly before she entered, he warned her that Tash had been beaten nearly to death; her face and neck looking as if it were ground meat and her level of conciousness unreadable.
Nodding her thanks, she asked Grant and his team to first get Finn locked away in the punishment room, which consisted of a 12 foot by 12 foot concrete room, no window or light and an inpenetrable door and then disperse the crowds to afford Tash some privacy.
Despite being medically trained, nothing could have prepared Amicius for the state that Tash was in; the amount of blood that had covered the carpet and sofa, not to mention the splatter marks all over the walls made her genuinely worry whether Tash was even still alive, such was the devastation.
Covering her face with a mask and donning a sterile trouser-suit and gloves over her uniform, she leant over Tash and quickly attached her to a nasal oxygen tube, heart-rate monitor and blood pressure cuff, as well as two IV ports to connect fluids back at the unit.
Her face was an unrecognisable bloody, raw mess; both eyes were swollen shut, purple haematoma's appearing already which started from the cheekbone, leading to the jaw-line.
She was bleeding from both ears, with a trickle of clear fluid mixed in, which Amicius internally groaned about, for it was indicative of a fractured skull at best, brain damage at worst.
