Althea's POV

"Babe halika may papakilala ako sayo, I want you to meet--..." He said.

"Althea..?" She said.

"J-Jade.." I uttered. My eyes widen, my mouth agape, and my heart began hammering so hard inside my chest. I couldn't explain how I feel right now.

"Woah! woah! wait! What did I miss? You guys know each other?" He asked completely dumbfounded. He looked at her, then at me.

"Yes." We blurted out in sync, staring at each other. Like he never existed.

"Oh wow! Really? How?" He asked, an amused expression grew on his face.

"It's a long story David." She said while our eyes still locked for who knows how long. We were both surprised. And it seems like fate has a bad habit of playing cruel tricks on us.

"Wow! what a small world?!" He exclaimed.

Oh yeah, what a fucking small world indeed.

"So Thea since magkakilala pala kayo. Would you mind joining us for breakfast?" He offered. I glanced at him and smiled.

"N-no, but thank you. I'm in a rush din. Maybe some other time nalang? So if you'll excuse me, I need to go." I hurriedly said, avoiding an eye contact with Jade and quickly walked past them. I could feel Jade's eyes following me.

"Thea!" He called out and I paused. I closed my eyes and took a deep breath to calm myself, before turning back to face them.

"Yes?" I asked with a fake smile.

"You forgot your coffees." He said pointing at the two coffees that were already sitting at the counter waiting to be claimed.

"Oh.. I'm sorry, I was kinda lost sa sobrang pagmamadali ko." I said and let out a fake chuckled and took the two cups of coffee. While Jade was intently watching my every movements.

"It's okay, nice to see you again Thea." He said, smiling widely.

"Yeah nice to see you again Dave... And Jade." I said dismissively, emphasizing Jade's name.

Jade's POV

"Hon? Naririnig mo ba ko?" Tanung ni David, habang kumakain kami sa isang Japanese resto. Kababalik lang kagabi ni David from his business trip kaya naman inaya niya ako agad lumabas ngayong umaga. Hanggang ngayon lutang pa din ako sa nangyari kanina, si Althea at David magkakilala? Paano? Ganito ba kaliit masyado ang mundo para sa aming tatlo?

"H-ha? A-ano ba yung sinabi mo? I'm sorry.."

"Ang sabi ko hindi ko alam na magkakilala pala kayo ni Thea. Pano kayo nagkakilala?" Pag-ulit niya.

"A-ah kelan lang naman yun, nakilala ko siya nung pagbalik ko dito sa Manila nung umuwi ako from Cebu. Eh kayo? Mukhang matagal na kayo magkakilala ah."

"Ah ganun ba? Ahm.. Si Thea friend ko siya nung mga teens pa kami. Nakilala ko siya through my cousin Claire. You already met Claire, right? Ex girlfriend and first love kasi ni Thea yung pinsan ko."

"Oh... Ex pala niya si Claire." Tanging naisagot ko, ngunit hindi ko alam kung bakit ako nakaramdam ng kirot o selos kahit alam kong matagal na silang wala. Can you blame me?
