Chapter Fourteen

     Mahimbing na natutulog si Zade sa tabi ko. Napangiti ako habang pinapanood lang ang dahan-dahang pagtaas baba ng dibdib niya. My handsome poetic Zade.

            May humaplos sa puso ko habang nakatingin lang sa kanya. The joy within me was unexplainable. Deep inside, I know that I should not be happy. Deep inside, I know that I should be guilty because somewhere out there, a woman is hurting because of me. But I am selfish for I am in love. Nothing else matters to me, just Zade, just us, just this love.

            Maybe one day, I'll reach out to his ex to personally apologize.

            Pero ngayon, hahayaan ko muna siya. She needs time to heal.

            Tumingin ako sa labas ng bintana at nakita kong madilim na. Pero hindi ako natatakot. Muli kong tinignan si Zade at kumawala ang isang ngiti sa mga labi ko.

            He is a sliver of moonlight in a starless night sky.

            He is my ray of sunshine in the middle of a heavy rain.

            He is an eventuality and impossibility all at once.

            Gumalaw siya at nagmulat. Unti-unti niya akong nilingon at namangha ako. His eyes twinkled like the celestial bodies in the galaxy. I looked at him and I swear that I could see comets colliding in those two magnetizing orbs. His eyes held splendor for they also held the whole universe in them. It's either that or I'm just madly in love with him.

            "Hi," he greeted meekly as he beamed at me.

            "Hi," sagot ko. Binuksan niya ng malaki ang mga braso niya at umusog ako palapit. Niyakap niya ako at naramdaman kong hinahaplos niya ang buhok ko.

            "Sorry," bulong niya sa tainga ko at tiningala ko naman siya.

            "For what?"

            "Sa lahat. Sa lahat-lahat ng kagaguhan ko sa'yo. I know that I'm not worthy of you, but I want to be. I will try my hardest to be."

            "You have to stop saying sorry to me. Okay na 'yon, Zade. Let's turn over a new leaf."

            He closed his eyes and a small smile materialized on his lips. "God, yes. I'd love that. I'd love that very much."

            Nagtitigan kami at binaba niya ang ulo niya bago sinakop ang labi ko. My heartbeat was wild and raging like a river. Gumanti ako ng halik at kinagat niya ang pang-ibabang labi ko. He pushed his tongue inside my mouth and our tongues danced in harmony.

            I was flying one moment then free falling the next.

            I was hurtling towards the ground then shooting upwards like a geyser.

            I felt solid ground beneath my feet and heard the teasing winds howling on my ears.

            His lips were skilled in wizardry, his kiss was magic and I am spellbound once more.

            Nang maghiwalay ang labi naming dalawa ay pareho kaming hinihingal. Isinandal niya ang noo niya sa akin.  "Mababaliw na ako,"he rasped. "Para kang drugs, Maria Samantha. Nawawala na ako sa sarili kong katinuan 'pag nandiyan ka."

            "Jen, ang saya mabuhay ano?" nakangiting bati ko sa kanya habang nagpupunas ng lamesa. Siya naman ay nag-ayos na ng paninda. Iningusan niya ako.
