Chapter 21
Blake's P.O.V.
After Ali left to go running with Jen I finished getting dressed, and went downstairs to my office to get ready for my meeting that I would have with all of the pack warriors, and defenders of the pack over the recent rogues that have been wandering into our territory.
I had only been sitting in my office for approximately five minutes when Luke arrived.
"Take a seat, we have to wait for everyone else," I said before he did as I asked and found himself somewhere to sit, which so happened to be one of the chairs in front of my desk.
We sat there, and waited for a while for everyone to arrive, when every pack member asked to attend was cramped into my office sitting or standing anywhere they could find I began.
"Alright we all know why we are here. We need to increase the number of pack warriors that are protecting the borders of the territory due to recent rogue sightings that have been reported lately," I said.
"A group of men must always be protecting the borders of the pack in case more rogues decide to invade the territory or our enemy's attempt to sneak in."
"Remember if you choose not to take protecting the pack borders seriously you will be punished as you are not only putting your life's in danger, but those of other pack members as well. Pack members that I as the alpha am responsible for."
"There are approximately forty men that couldn't be here today, because they were on duty, so I will hold a separate meeting with them tomorrow. Now let's begin in organizing the number of men per group that will be at each border of our territory, and the shifts we are going to be taking from now on."
Just as I was about to start going through everything Charles one of the men who is out in the woods watching for rogues contacted me through mind link.
"Alpha a group of rogues has entered the pack lands, through the northern border."
Damn, Ali and Jen were out running right now.
"Half of you come go to the northern border, to get rid of the rogues, the other half comes with me. Luke assemble a small group to watch over the women, and children while we're gone. No one is allowed outdoors, unless they are assisting me."
"Yes alpha."
With that I ran out of the pack house, and shifted in my wolf, the pack members behind me doing the same, before taking off running behind me.
I wasn't thinking straight, the only thoughts that were going through my head were those of Alyssa being captured by those rogues, or worse killed.
With those thought in mind I plunged my paws into the ground pushing my self further, leaving the guys that were flanking me behind
Something was pulling at my chest making it ache, telling me that something wasn't alright with Alyssa because I knew well that those feelings of helplessness, and despair weren't coming from me.
"Blake help me," Ali shouted through mind link.
"Ali, what's wrong my wolf is very uneasy?"
"Me, and Jen are being attacked by trespassers."
"Where?"
"Northern border near the lake," she said sounding out of breath, and frightened.
"Blake hurry."
"I'm going as fast as I can," I said, but then I didn't hear her reply, or say anything else.
