We both stepped out of the cab and entered an apartment that looked very much like a bachelor pad. We entered the bedroom and that's when the gravity of the situation struck me. It weighed me down with every step I took inside the room. It had one huge bed and a few other furniture. The bedspread and the pillows were a deep red colour.

My eyes were fixated on the bed. I couldn't see anything else.

He took my hand and ran his thumb over my knuckles. It alone sent a frenzy through my body. This man had an astonishing effect on my body and I could bet that most of it was due to the alcohol content in my system. But alcohol or not I was attracted to this man and wanted him.

He turned me towards him and kissed me deeply. When he pulled apart he asked, "Should I turn off the lights?" in a breathless voice.

"Yes, please." I struggled to get the words out of my mouth.

He walked me to the bed and then switched off the lights. The room was still illuminated by the moonlight entering through the only window. I could see everything around me but it made it seem less real and scary.

I saw his eyes and saw the same intense look in them and this time when he kissed me there was no turning back. He wanted me just as much as I wanted him at that minute. I gave in to the primal instincts in me and kissed him back with everything I had. My hands moved on their own accord into his hair and his gripped my waist.

He sat next to me and pulled me onto his lap such that I was straddling him. His hands roamed freely all over my body and it left me breathless. I slid my hands from his hair and pushed his jacket from his shoulders. He helped me out of mine and his shirt was next to come off. I ran my hands over his toned chest and abdomen. His breath hitched and it gave me courage to move my hands more freely. His fingers gripped the ends of my blouse and I lifted my arms to help him remove it.

"So beautiful." He whispered as he stared making me conscious.

I pulled his lips back to mine and gasped at the skin contact once our chests collided. The skin on skin feeling was out of this world. It made it all so surreal. His fingers inched up my sides and I pulled away to gasp out, "No one finds out about this."

"No one finds out about this." He repeated. "Now let me show you how beautiful you are." And then he pushed me onto the bed and rolled on top of me locking our lips together again.

Our bodies molded together and became one. There was no me or him, it was just us.

I woke up with a pounding head. Soon as my brain registered my surroundings panic threatened to grip me. Quietly I assessed the situation around me.

He was still sleeping on his stomach with one of his hands thrown over my torso. Thankfully he was facing the other side so I didn't have to look at his face. I slowly pushed a pillow under his hand as I ducked from under it. He stirred a little and I stopped breathing. He didn't wake up so I left out the breath I was holding. I picked up my clothes from all over the floor and dressed as quickly and quietly as possible. Just as I moved to the front door I heard him make a noise. Not wanting to see if he had woken up I stepped outside and shut the front door behind me quietly.

The next thing I knew, I was running. I stopped only after I had put five blocks between us. I hailed a cab and gave him the directions to my house.

Now I truly understood why it was called the 'Walk of Shame'.

"Where were you, Aria? Saturday night you just bailed on us." Damon asked.

"Umm. I left early. Wasn't feeling up for a party." Damon, Caroline and I were walking into the school building.
