CHAPTER 5

After some of her morning classes are over, Yuri headed towards the university's tennis court to try out. Yuri's a sporty girl, she likes competition and she really loves tennis and had been player at her former college

When she arrived, she saw that the players were already practicing but failed to see other people trying out. As she looked around, a tall guy with dark wavy hair, wearing a tennis player outfit approached her

"Hey, is there something I could help you with?" he asked nicely

"Yeah, um, I was wondering if I could still try out? I had classes earlier so I couldn't come at the exact time of the try-outs" Yuri answered

"Yeah sure, I don't have an opponent, so is it okay if you play against me? just so I could see what you can do"

"Sure, I'm Yuri by the way" she said and reached out her hand

"I'm Felix, I'm the captain of the tennis team, nice to meet you" he answered as he shook her hand, "Um, do you have a change of clothes, I don't think you'll be able to move freely in your jeans"

"Yeah, of course, I'll go change right now"

He nodded "Okay then, I'll meet you at the court" and went to the tennis court as Yuri headed to the locker room to change her clothes

Meanwhile, Tasha is at the courtyard doing community service, sweeping the fallen leaves and garbage around

"This is so freaking embarrassing!" Tasha complained

"It's not that bad Tasha, at least you're not cleaning the restrooms" Amber said

"And after cleaning, you can go eat or go to sleep, unlike us who has classes to attend, until 7pm" Brenda added

Brenda and Amber went to see how Tasha was doing after hearing from her that she has to do community service last night over the phone, so when the two had vacant time, they went to go see her and found her in the courtyard

"We're sorry that we can't help you Tasha" Brenda said, "That maintenance guy is hovering over you like a vulture, it's not like we're gonna snatch you out of here"

"It's okay Brenda, You guys being here is enough so thanks!" Tasha smiled as beads of sweat form on her forehead from being under the sun for a long time

"So, do we need to take revenge? What do you want us to do?" Amber asked

"Nothing. Let's just leave her alone" Tasha answered as she continued to sweep

Amber and Brenda looked at each other with surprise. Did Tasha, the girl who doesn't like to get pushed around and always gets back at the person who tells on her, said that she doesn't want to take revenge on someone who got her suspended?

"Did we hear that right? You don't want to do anything?" Brenda reacted, "who are you and what have you done to our Tasha"

Tasha scoffed playfully and answered, "Yes, you heard that right bitch!"

"Wow, that's definitely a first from you Tasha, I never thought I'd hear you say that" Brenda commented

"Yeah well, I got bored with her, she doesn't react that great and I feel like I'm wasting my time on her" Tasha answered insincerely, the spunk Yuri showed kind of took her by surprise, and besides, why would I waste my time on someone like her? she thinks I'm shallow when she has no idea what I've been through, then fuck her!

Tasha's thoughts were interrupted, "So, do we leave alone all the other girls we hate as well?" Amber asked, hoping to hear Tasha say yes. Truth be told, Amber is getting tired of being judged as mean and bitchy by others but since she's always been loyal to Tasha, she really can't say anything
