CHAPTER 30

Summer parked in front of a small house-like restaurant. She turned off the engine and looked at Yuri, "we're here"

Yuri stared at the establishment. The restaurant looked like it was newly-opened but it had a homey vibe to it. It had a few customers inside just chatting away.

When the Summer and Yuri entered, different smells of baked goodies mixed with scents of brewed tea leaves immediately welcomed them

"This place looks nice" commented Yuri

"I know right, let's go grab a seat" Summer went to the nearest couch seat, Yuri followed suit

As soon as they were seated, a girl with black shoulder-length hair wearing a cute waitress dress approached them

"Hello, here's our menu for today" she smiled and handed each customer a small menu booklet

Yuri smiled back and took the menu

"Will you be having your usual?" asked the girl as she turned to Summer

"Um yes please" Summer answered shyly, "thanks"

Yuri looked at them with surprise and instantly understood why Summer wanted to go here

"I'll have the wintermelon milk tea and cinnamon apple pie please" Yuri handed her back the menu, "If you don't mind me asking, can I know your name?"

"Oh, It's Carmina"

Upon hearing the waitress's name, Yuri nodded and smiled then she stood and turned to her friend, "hey Summer, just gonna go to the bathroom for a bit"

Yuri gave a quick tapped on Summer's shoulder before heading to the bathroom

"Sorry about that, my friend likes to randomly ask people's names" Summer slightly chuckled,

"It's alright, people are gonna know my name eventually once I get my name tag"

"Right. Um, Pretty name by the way" Summer complimented with a bit of nervousness

"Thank you. Um, I'm sorry, is there anything else you like to order"

"Oh right! you're at your job I'm sorry for keeping you busy, Um, no nothing else. That's all, thank you very much!" Summer blabbered. Inside her head, she was seriously wishing she would shut up and stop embarassing herself

Carmina gave a small giggle, "then I will be back later with your order" she excused herself and left

As soon as she was out of sight, Summer faced-palmed herself to eternity. Just in time for Yuri to walk back and sat at her seat

"Real smooth" Yuri grinned teasingly

"Shut up."

Tasha rushed back to her dorm and changed into more comfortable clothes then headed to their building's rooftop. She talked with their dorm manager earlier to gave her thanks and drop off a small gift for letting her use the rooftop again with the camera's turned off just for a few hours.

Just like what Summer told her, the equipment are set. all that was needed was a laptop and a comfortable place for her and Yuri to chill at. Good thing, Summer also happened to own a small sofa bed that's big enough for the two of them.

Right away, she grabbed the biggest blankets with all the biggest coziest pillows she could find. She layed one blanket on the sofa bed and scattered the pillows on it, she then took another blanket and made a canopy so that it would look like a bed fort.
