“Austin, I am not doing this!” I protested!

“Look we are already late to the movie, and do you want to walk a mile?!” he yelled.

“Well it beats riding in a shopping cart Austin!” I yelled, “I’m not getting in!”

“Just get in the freaking shopping cart quickly!” Austin demanded.

“Sheesh,” I whispered and hopped into the shopping cart with Austin, “This is the most embarrassing moment of my life.”

“Shut up,” he mumbled. He pushed us off with a tree and the shopping cart went rolling down the sidewalk.

Today Austin and I went skateboarding again, went shopping at the mall for hats, ate at McDonalds, and stole shopping carts from helpless families.

It made me forget a little bit about Sarah and Zach. But it all came back to me when we made it to the parking lot at the theatre. I saw them. Alex’s arm was around Sarah and Zach was talking to Rob. Tyler just stood there with his back to Sarah.

“Oh, look Zach is here! So I don’t have to spend time with Sarah! Yay!” I said.

They spotted us and started laughing. I covered my face and stopped the cart.

“I think we can walk from here Austin,” I muttered. I hopped out of the cart and he followed.

We all walked towards them. I kept my head down, not wanting to make eye contact with Sarah.

“Hey Olivia, this is my girlfriend Sarah, and that’s Zach,” Alex said and pointed to Sarah and Zach. I didn’t look at them.

“Hi, I’m Sarah,” her voice said so innocently. I looked up and saw her. She was smiling big but her eyes looked at me coldly. I fake smiled.

“Come on guys let’s go in,” Rob said and they all went in.

“What movie are you guys seeing?” Tyler asked.

“Red Dawn,” Austin said.

“Oh my gosh, I heard that’s really good. Sorry Olivia I have to see that,” Tyler apologized to me then followed them inside.

“Come on Olivia, you don’t have to sit near them. You, me, and Tyler can sit in the way back,” Austin reassured me. I nodded and walked in with them.

Alex walked up to buy our tickets. All the boys followed him to buy their own tickets which left me and Sarah.

“So, how has Landon been? Oh wait, he’s dead,” she laughed.

“Shut up,” I yelled. I swear I was about to pull her head off.

“Oh and if you ever tell anyone about what I did,” she threatened, “I will tell everyone you like Alex. Yeah that’s right. I know about that.”

"How would you know about that?!" I whispered-yelled.

She shrugged. "I know stuff. I can't believe you're here. I thought you were finally out of my life for good."

I couldn’t take this. I gritted my teeth and my fists were clenched at my side.

I raised my hand and slapped her across the face. Hard. She gasped and yelled in pain.

The boys ran over.

“What happened Sarah?” Alex asked.

“I was just being nice to her and then out of nowhere she just slapped me.” Sarah cried. Literally she was crying. That filthy liar.

“Olivia what the heck?!” Alex yelled at me. His face was red with anger.

“That’s not what happened!” I protested.
