Chapter 20

“Guys wake up,” Austin yelled and shook our tent.

“We’re up, we’re up,” Sarah laughed. I glanced at her then looked away quickly. I could tell she was looking at me. I crawled out of the tent and saw everyone sitting down in front of their tents in their pajamas.

“Why do we have to get up so early?” I groaned.

“Because we’re going somewhere fun,” Austin said.

“Where?” I asked.

“It’s a surprise,” Austin smiled and Sarah crawled out of the tent finally.

“Where are we going?” she asked confused.

“He just said it’s a surprise smart one,” I muttered under my breath.

“Sorry I didn’t hear him,” she mumbled. She didn’t even say something mean back… I know she couldn’t have just changed. So what is she playing at?

“I know,” I said and smiled sweetly at her.

“Ok guys get dressed, we have to be there soon,” Austin yelled and Sarah and I crawled back into our tents.

“Can you please get out while I change,” she whispered. I gave her a weird look. Sarah being nice isn’t really something I see everyday.. maybe she is just trying to get Alex to believe I am being mean to her while she is being “nice.” That’s probably what she is doing.

“Ok,” I whispered and crawled back out. Alex and Zach were sitting outside talking to each other. I haven’t really talked to Zach in a while…

“Hey Olivia,” Alex greeted. I smiled at him then sat next to Alex. It killed me to think that I was so excited to ask him out, but now he won’t ever be single.

And how would Georgia and Leslie think of this? I just won’t tell them. If I tell them, they will kill me. I mean you saw how excited they were for this and how many times they had reminded me to do it.

I’ll just try to keep them away from Alex and Sarah at all times. And how did Sarah even know? She was definitely using the chip to get to me before…

Did Georgia and Leslie tell anyone? No, Georgia was so excited to get here she demonstrated our whole strategy. And Leslie just really wants to get her. I bit my lip, who could’ve told her?

Suddenly Sarah walked out wearing a black tank top and pink lace shorts and her hair was in a high ponytail, and she looked so pretty. Why wouldn’t Alex like her? If he knew he wouldn’t like her… but Sarah and I made a deal, and if I break it she will blackmail me again and probably tell Alex, and I didn’t want that. I’m surprised she hasn’t done that already I mean maybe it was because she has “changed” or maybe she did something worse that will take a while. I’m not sure which but I guess I’m not going to have to find out the hard way…

I pushed past her and went into the tent and went digging through my stuff. I found a plain black t-shirt and my orange short running shorts. I put that on and left my hair down to my waist. I put on black ankle high socks and then my toms. I touched my wrist to make sure my watch was still the-

I sighed. Of course it wasn’t there. I walked out of the tent where everyone was waiting all ready.

“Austin, you need to tell us where we’re going because we have to drive there,” Sarah laughed while sitting in Alex’s lap. I looked away from them. I sat down in between Tyler and Rob and tried not to look at Salex. I have decided that that was there relationship name. Salex. I like Alvia better though.
