The smell of hospitals always makes people on edge, the thought of hospitals in general can make a person shiver. There wasn't an exception today. In the waiting room that was filled to the brim sat Byron, Ella and Emily. Emily took the seat behind Aria's parents not wanting to make small talk about one of her best friends general state, it was hard enough to compose thoughts without having to say them out loud. Ella had been crying over periods of time, she would get herself together then would be updated on the situation and lose it again. Hanna and Alison had gone to get coffee, it was the first time they had both left the waiting room since they'd arrived together over 3 hours ago. The tension was so high in the room it almost began to suffocating and no matter how much you wanted to know what was going on if you wanted a breather you had to make an excuse to get out of there. Emily stayed just incase anything major was about to happen. Spencer had left several times during the period the girls had been informed of Aria's admittance. As soon as Spencer got the news she messaged Ezra to see if he knew, which he didn't. She'd been updating him every time she knew something new herself but had no reply. Beginning to give up she made her way back inside for the final time before hearing a calling of her name.
Sweating, Ezra made his way over to the dark haired girl and looked at her his eyes red and sore. Ezra had only just got the first message from Spencer and kicked himself. He'd began to blame everything on himself already. Quickly, Spencer led the lover to see Aria making her way round the medical maze.
"So what's happened? Is she seeing people yet?" Ezra asked and Spencer just stopped looking at him baffled. Oh god he didn't know. This was much easier to do over message, not face to face.
"Didn't you get my messages?"
Ezra shook his head, all he knew was that Aria was in hospital and as soon as he heard he was out the door. He practically ran half of the way here, not being able to get the thought of a weak, lifeless Aria.
"It's critical Ezra, she went head first into car. She's not even conscious yet."
Ezra stared at Spencer, almost as if he was looking through her before beginning to sprint down the corridors crashing into nearly everything insight.
"Ezra wait." She shouted but she knew it would be no use. He looked for Aria everywhere until he got to the waiting room where Ella looked over at him through tear filled eyes. The mans heart was racing and Aria's mother just shook her head trying to stop Ezra from what he was about to do but he couldn't stop himself even if he wanted to. His heart was beating heavier than a marching drum and it felt as if his chest was beginning to close down but he needed to see her. Gingerly, he walked over to the door that read Aria's name on it and looked through the window. And there she was. Her eyes were closed and she was surrounded by machines and doctors yet her hair fell perfectly into place and she looked as beautiful as ever. Beautiful in the most haunting way, even though Aria lay there Ezra couldn't feel her like he usually could and that's what scared him the most.  Sickness grew over the man until he just dropped onto the floor unable to contain the overwhelming guilt.
