It was the first day that Aria had left home after being recently discharged from hospital and her parents had her on a lead. She wasn't able to walk more than 5 steps without them quickly following up behind. It was a different feeling though, something's she'd look at and be able to release the memory of it. She could put some names to faces but of course she knew it all wasn't going to come rushing back at once.

"I just want to get coffee like normal people do, nothing is going to happen. Something will happen if you keep bubble wrapping me from the rest of the world."

Both parents agreed and let Aria head instead by herself yet they still stood outside making glances in through the window just to make sure that everything was fine.

The smell of coffee filled her lungs, eyes widened and she began to take in the new territory. It seemed eerily familiar but she just couldn't grasp how she knew the shop. The girl pulled out her purse and headed to the desk before noticing the tall, handsome face she hadn't seen in a while.

"Ezra?" She called out quite weakly.

Ezra just froze, a shiver running down his spine as he turned to face his once true love. Both of them looked over eachothers faces. It was strange, Aria felt almost nostalgic, a feeling she had never encountered.

"Hi...What can I get you?"

"You've been ignoring my calls. And texts." Aria began to snap, she wasn't going to be treated like any other person who walked in here. "After everything you said about not wanting to lose me you seem to have very quickly changed your tune."

His hands pressed down on the counter letting out a sigh. "I thought you needed space, I didn't want to rush you into something. Everything that's happened to you was very serious I guess you needed time around your parents."

"Ezra, you haven't even sent me a one word message in over 2 months. I thought something had happened to you. I guess my first impression of you was different to what you're actually like."

Before she could walk off Ezra was grabbing her wrist, he couldn't lose her because he was just giving up on the situation.

"I wanted our time together to mean something, I wanted to show you how much you mean to me but I don't know a way to."

Aria just looked at the man infront of her and scoffed. "That's what you're going with? That you were too scared you were going to mess something up? God Ezra, I gave you a chance, I thought it was the right move but I just-"

Ezra placed his finger over the girls pink lips trying to silence her. Aria was right, she was always right. If Ezra truly loved her why didn't he show? He messed everything up more by not showing.

"Come to my apartment tonight. I will make up for this. Please."

Feeling slightly taken away Aria couldn't say anything but just nod and stare deeply into the mans eyes finding herself quickly becoming lost in them a feeling that wasn't unfamiliar to her. "I need the address." She whispered against his finger, Ezra nodded and headed round to the counter to jot it down, Aria quickly moved to a seat and tried to focus on her breathing. Everything to do with Ezra was new to her but god it just felt so familiar.

"Here's your order and here's my address. I'll see you at 7."

Aria tapped out a tune on the door of apartment 3B.

In less than a few seconds Ezra was at the door, he was dressed in dark black looking quite formal for just sitting in his apartment.

"Come on in." He gestured for Aria to walk past him, widening the door.

As soon as she walked through she was taken back, it felt like home. Like her actual home, not a single place had given her this feeling before and it was slightly frightening. This place meant a lot and she was desperately wanting to find out what was so sentimental about it.

Aria began to look round the apartment just like she had when she first arrived there but of course she didn't know that. Next to the couch she picked up a picture frame that showed a smiling Ezra and herself.

"I have this same picture in my room."

Ezra just chuckled and nodded as he sat down. "I know I gave it you."

They both began to talk, nothing really interesting. It ranged from the weather to Aria's opinion on the coffee she had tried earlier. Suddenly the pair became more at ease and could actually function like normal human beings. Gracefully, Aria sat next to Ezra and looked down to her feet. "I'm sorry I can't be the person you want me to be Ezra."

"You are the person I want you to be, you're Aria Montogomery."

He took her hand in his like he did when she lay on the hospital bed and many times before.

Aria slowly moved closer running her fingers over Ezra's jaw, feeling his breath on her face. This was unknown territory but soon enough as if no effort was needed the pair were finally kissing like they had so many times before.

But Aria felt nothing.
