As soon as Gwen got back on the Milano, Peter ran up to her and trapped her in a hug.
"I thought I lost you Gwen. I don't know what I would've done without you" Peter said
"Well I'm here now Peter" Gwen said. Peter cupped Gwen's cheeks and looked her in the eyes,
"Promise me you'll never do that again" Peter said
"I promise Peter" Gwen said. Peter just couldn't help himself so he pulled Gwen into a kiss. Gwen was a little surprised at his sudden action but she kissed him back anyway.
"There's something I have to tell you" Peter said. Gwen smiled to herself, knowing what it was what Peter wanted to say, thanks to Yondu but right now, her mind was on stopping Ronan.
"Peter, you can tell me later, alright? I promised Yondu a plan to put a stop to Ronan. Gather everyone. I'm calling a meeting" Gwen said

Everyone sat in a circle, while Gwen stood and Peter stood by her side. Gwen explained the deal to everyone. Rocket disagreed and he made it very obvious.
"You call that "figured it out"? We're gonna rob the guys who just beat us senseless?" Rocket said
"You want to talk about senseless? How about trying to save Gamora and I by blowing us up!?" Gwen argued
"We were only going to blow you up, if they didn't turn you over!" Rocket said
"And how were they supposed to turn us over if you gave them only a count of five!?" Gwen said, putting her hands on her hips.
"We didn't have time to work out the minutiae of the plan. This is what we get for acting altruistically" Rocket said
"I am Groot"
"They are ungrateful" Rocket said. Gwen rolled her eyes and let out a huff of frustration. Peter placed his hand on her shoulder. Gwen felt herself calm down when Peter touched her shoulder.
"What's important now is that we get the Ravager's army to help us save Xandar" Gamora said
"Or we could just give the stone to Yondu who's just going to give it to somebody worse" Rocket said
"We'll figure that part out" Peter said
"We have to stop Ronan!" Gamora said
"How?" Rocket said
"I have a plan" Gwen said in a confident tone. Peter smiled at her confidence.
"You have a plan?" Rocket said
"I do" Gwen said
"First of all, you're copying me from when I said I have a plan" Rocket said
"People say it all the time. It's really not that unique of a thing to say" Gwen said
"Secondly, I don't even believe you have a plan" Rocket said
"I have part of a plan" Gwen said
"What percentage of a plan do you have?" Drax asked
"You don't get to ask questions after the nonsense you pulled on Knowhere" Gamora said
"I just saved Pierce!" Drax said
"We've already established that blowing up the ship she's on is not saving her" Peter commented
"When did we establish that?" Drax asked
"Three seconds ago!" Peter said. At this point, Gwen was getting really frustrated that nobody was listening to her.
"I wasn't listening. I was thinking of something else" Drax said
"She's right, you don't get an opinion" Rocket said. Gwen was just about to lose it and she needed to stop it before everybody got into a heated argument.
"EVERYBODY SHUT UP!" Gwen shouted. Everyone looked at Gwen with a look of surprise on their face but at the same time, everybody kept quiet.
"Can you all please listen to me? I do have part of a plan" Gwen said
"What percentage?" Rocket asked
"Twelve percent" Gwen said with a shrug
"Twelve percent?" Rocket said, followed by a laugh. Gwen let out another frustrated sigh and took a seat, putting her face in her hands.
"I give up" she muttered under Rocket's laughter. Peter knew how frustrated Gwen was getting so he decided to help her out. First of all, he needed Rocket to shut up.
"That's a fake laugh" Peter said
"It's real" Rocket said
"Totally fake" Peter said
"That is the most real, authentic, hysterical laugh of my entire life because that is not a plan" Rocket said
"It's barely a concept" Gamora said.
"You're taking their side? I have full faith in Gwen. If we could all just give her a chance, I'm pretty sure you guys will too" Peter said. Gwen looked up at Peter and grabbed his hand. He looked down at her.
"Thanks Peter" she said in a whisper loud enough that only Peter could hear. Peter smiled and squeezed her hand.
"I am Groot"
"So what if it's better than eleven percent? What the hell does that have to do with anything?" Rocket said
"Thanks Groot. See? Groot's the only one of you the has faith in Gwen and has a clue" Peter said. Gwen quickly glanced over at Groot. She had to stiffle a giggle when she saw him eat a plant of his arm. Then she looked back at Peter.
"Peter, may I have the floor again?" Gwen asked. Peter gave her a nod and Gwen stood again, not letting her hand leave Peter's.
"Come on. Yondu is gonna be here in two seconds. He expects to hear this big plan of ours. I need your help. Peter and I need your help. I look around at us and do you know what I see? Losers." Gwen said. Everybody but Peter gave her a look. Peter knew exactly what she meant.
"What she means is, like folks who have lost stuff. We have, all of us. Our homes, our families, our kingdoms" Peter directed that part at Gwen, quickly glancing at her and then continued on "our lives and usually life takes more than it gives but not today. Today it's giving us something. It is giving us a chance"
"To do what?" Drax asked
"To give a shit for once and not run away. I for one, am not going to stand by and watch as Ronan wipes out a billion lives" Peter said
"Peter's right, and personally for me as a princess, I think it's a big duty to protect others" Gwen said
"But Pierce, stopping Ronan, it's impossible. You're asking us to die" Rocket said
"Yeah, I guess I am" Gwen said. Gwen put her head on Peter's shoulder, feeling like she had failed everyone.
"Your highness, I have lived most of my life surrounded by my enemies. I will be grateful to die among my friends" Gamora said, standing up. Drax stood after her.
"You are an honorable woman, Pierce. I will fight beside you and in the end, will see my wife and daughter again" Drax said. Gwen looked up at Peter.
"What do you say Star-Lord?" Gwen asked
"You know I'd be happy to fight by your side and if I die, I'd rather have it by your side trying to protect you" Peter said. Gwen smiled at him.
"I am Groot" Groot stood up. The only one left was Rocket.
"Come on Rocket. If it makes you feel any better, I'm slowly starting to find you less annoying" Gwen said. Rocket let out a sigh.
"What the hell? I don't got that long a lifespan anyway" Rocket said. He stood up.
"Now I'm standing. Y'all happy? Bunch of jackasses standing in a circle" Rocket said
