Chapter 42

Robin

"Well, I'm going back to Regina now, do you want to see her?" I offer Henry

"No thanks, I don't have the strength to see her right now" he sighs

I nod and pinch his leg softly

"Things will get better buddy, I promise" I reassure him

He nods, not believing a word I say, his head turning toward the window and away from me.

I sigh quietly and exit the room to head back to Regina's room, hoping that she hasn't slipped away while I've been gone.

On the way I find Snow stood outside, staring out of the window, tears rolling softly down her face. I instantly think something's happened to Regina.

"Snow? What is it? What's going on? Is it Regina?" I panic

"It's all my fault" she whispers

"I don't understand, what's all your fault?" I frown

"I let Regina work on that potion and now she could be dying! This is all my fault! I'm sorry Robin!" she cries

"Snow, this isn't your fault, if it's anyone's it's mine. I asked her and pestered her to work on the locator spell when I knew it was dangerous while she was pregnant. Please don't blame yourself because it's not your fault" I reassure her

She nods silently

"Is she alright? Regina" I ask

"She's the same as she was, which isn't great" she sighs

"Can I go and see her?" I ask

She nods so I head in quietly, leaving Snow in peace.

Regina lies on the bed, in the same position she was in not long ago when I left her to find Henry. I sit beside her in the chair, taking her limp hand in mine.

"Come on darling, you can do it, you can survive. Do it for Henry and Roland and Sophia, not for me, they need you more than I do, I love you, we all do and we all want you to survive" I whisper to her
