I've been holding my beautiful daughter for the past few hours, watching her as she sleeps, completely mesmerized by her beauty. I'm starting to feel a bit tired but I don't want to sleep.
A gentle knocking on the door makes me jump and I turn to see Snow entering the room, a tired smile on her face.
"Hey" she whispers
"Hey" I whisper back
"Are you okay?" she asks
"I'm fine" I nod
"Are you sure?" Snow asks again
"Yes, I'll be fine" I reassure her
"You look exhausted Regina, get some rest, I'll watch Grace for a bit or she can go in her crib" she offers
I nod, not rejecting to the request.
I pass her gently to Snow and click my fingers so that my teeth are clean and I shrink down into the pillows as I watch Snow put my Grace into her crib.
"Can you put her beside me please?" I ask her
"Of course" she nods, moving the crib to my side
"Thank you" I smile
"No problem" she nods
"Did my mother go to bed like I told her to?" I ask
"Yes, I made sure she did" Snow whispers
"Night Snow" I mumble, the tiredness taking over me
"Night Regina" I hear Snow says before I drift into sleep
