Cora

I take my granddaughter from Snow, rocking her gently so she doesn't cry and placing her gently in Sophia's crib and rushing back to Regina. It's then that I notice the pool of blood at her feet and start to panic as Regina's face is getting paler and she's drifting in and out of consciousness.

"Regina? Regina darling, stay with me!" I panic, tapping her arm gently

But it's too late, she's gone. Snow takes her limp arm and check her pulse, her eyes grow with fear.

"Her pulse is there, but it's light" she sighs

She places her hands on Regina's stomach and starts massaging it repeatedly.

"What are you doing?" I frown

"Trying to get the uterus to contract so that I can get the placenta out so she can survive and I don't have to pull it out" she sighs, continuing to massage her stomach

She continues for at least five minutes and then gives up.

"It's not working!" she huffs in agitation

"We need to do something; I am NOT letting my daughter die! Her children need her!" I whimper

"There is something I can do, but you'll have to trust me" Snow sighs, not wanting to do this because it could kill her

"Do whatever you have to do, just don't let her die" I nod, fearing the worst

She nods and look at Regina's lifeless, barely breathing body.

"Hand me that towel please?" she asks me, pointing to the towel on the side

I grab it quickly and hand it to her as she places on another pair of gloves.

"Are sure you want me to do this?" she asks

"Well I don't know what you're going to do, as long as it saves her life" I sigh

I nod and carefully place my hand in Regina and reach up and pull out the placenta, quickly pressing the towel against her to stop the bleeding.

"Did it work?" I ask, fear rising in me

She removes the towel and breathes a sigh of relief.

"It's stopped" she smiles as she removes her blood covered glove

I breathe a sigh of relief as Snow reaches for Regina's wrist to check her pulse.

"Her pulse is light still, but it's there, she'll be okay" she sighs

I wrap my arms around her tightly, my tears wetting her shirt.

"Thank you, Snow" I whisper

There's a quiet moan as Regina stirs and opens her eyes slowly, looking around the room in confusion.

"Mother?" she mumbles

"Hey, it's okay, you're okay" I whisper

"What happened?" she frowns

"You haemorrhaged, but Snow saved you" I explain

"Thank you, Snow" Regina whispers

"No problem" Snow smiles weakly

"Where's my baby? Is she okay?" Regina panics, looking around the room

"Hey, hey, calm down. She's fine, I'll go and fetch her from the crib, but, let's clean you and everything else up first" I reassure her

She nods and I flick my wrist and the bed is made neatly and Regina is washed and in a fresh pair of pyjamas, any signs of blood cleaned up and the room now back to normal.

I silently walk over to the crib and pick up my sleeping granddaughter again and walk towards Regina, letting her sit up before I hand her over.

Once she's comfortable, she holds out her arms for her daughter and I pass her over. Her face lights up when she sees her, the tiredness and pain melting away, and she's happy.

"You're so beautiful" she whispers, tears streaming down her face

"What's her name?" I ask

"Grace Maria- Hope Locksley" she smiles
