The rest of lunch goes smooth considering I isolated myself from it. How could Ashton offer us to go on a double date? With Jack and his girlfriend? I didn't want to see Jack anymore than I needed to. I definitely didn't want to meet his girlfriend either.
The bell rings signaling for us to go to class. I grab my stuff and head to my next class not even bothering to wait for Ashton. I know he meant no harm but he should of back out as soon as I have him that look.
"Hey hey", Ashton grabs my arm. He lifts my chin forcing me to look at him. "Are you okay?"
"Yeah. I'm fine."
I withdraw myself from him but he only pulls me back.
"Hey, what's wrong?"
"Nothing Ashton. I said I was fine."
"Is it that whole double date thing?"
"You knew I didn't want to go and chose to ignore it."
"I'm sorry. We can always cancel it."
I huff. "No we can't."
"I'm sorry Gabs. Please don't be mad at me." He takes my hands in his.
Dammit. It's hard not to be mad at him.
"It's okay."
He smiles before pulling me in and planting a kiss on my forehead.
