"Hannah, are you sure this is Oscar's  groom?" I ask, raising my eyebrows, fuck no. Oscar isn't going to get married to my ex-boyfriend. That's disgusting.

"Of course, I am!" She laughs. "Hello, Matt."

"Hannah, who's that?" Matthew says, looking at me.

"Oscar's other best friend, Jessica Styles," she replies. I can't help it but drink water as if I'm drinking alcohol. I glare at him. "Jessica, this is Matthew Pearson, Oscar's fiance."

"Nice to meet you," I say, clenching my jaw and letting a hand out so he shakes it.

"Same for me." He rolls his eyes, shaking my hand.

"Okay, fuck, I need to take this call, it's my boss." Hannah bursts out, no, I don't want to spend time with him again.

"Is Oscar whom you left me for?" I ask him, trying to break the silence. He nods. "Great, he doesn't need to know about us. If he ever asks, we only know each other from AA meetings, okay?"

"Fine," Matthew says, glancing at his phone. I have no idea how I dated him. "Does Oscar prefer mangoes or strawberries?"

"Okay that's a weird question, I think he prefers strawberries," I answer, looking confused. "Why, though?"

"Ever heard of flavored lube?" He widens his eyes.

"Okay, I didn't need to know that." I wince in disgust, I didn't really need to know what they're using for sex tonight. "Even though we used none when we were dating."

"Reminder, we had sex three times during four months." He rolls his eyes. "I didn't know if you'd like that or not."

"Thank you for not trying." I get out a cigarette and light it up.

Andrew decided to visit the New York branch of his uncle's company, he has nothing else to do. The party's in two days and he says he might go get a tux tomorrow, or else he'll just wear some jeans, he couldn't care less. I'll just wear a black dress, solves it all.

We're at the wedding, I decided to only stay here for a couple of hours, I really miss Andrew and need to see him. I can't just keep on hiding him, it's so not fair for him. I've been here for an hour, one more to go. Oscar's very happy, Matthew hasn't talked to me. But damn, Oscar's now married, I'd never expect him to be the first one. Hannah hasn't mentioned Andrew again which is great for me. He's been texting me and he's already planned everything for our date.

I can't believe he's my date and my student. It'll be so weird at university, I really hope no one notices we're dating, or else it'll just seem awkward. It is risky but I really like him. I can't believe I'm an adult that has a job and still dates people. Dating sort of seems more for university now, but I'm not going to jump straight to marriage. I'm not that inane.

Here I am, at this fancy restaurant in New York, with Andrew. This is the first I time I ever meet Andrew out of campus to go on a date. He's all dressed up, and I'm just amazed. I'm so happy, yet scared since all my past relationships didn't end well. His eyes are so charming, they're so gray I can't.

"How was the wedding?" Andrew asks, his masterpieces of eyes twinkling. I don't know if I should tell him that Matthew's the groom or not. I don't think so, it'll just make this evening awkward.

"Overwhelming," I reply, "it's just great, you know, seeing your friends moving on with their lives." He just nods, why is he so polite now? "So, what're our plans for tomorrow?" I continue, to avoid any awkwardly silent moments.

"Well, we can spend the whole day cuddling and watching Chick-Flicks." He shrugs, smirking.

"Do you have an outfit for Christian's party?" I ask him, glancing at my phone, to see if I got any texts from Peter about Angelina. None. I'm glad she forgot about her father, whom I'll have to meet right when I come back.
