I walked into mine and Johnny's shared house. Actually more like waddled. The farther along I get in my pregnancy, the more I feel like a penguin. I am 7 months along. I love being pregnant, but I can't wait to meet mine and Johnny's little girl. Johnny seems more nervous than anything. Maybe anxious. The thing is, Johnny has not had much experience with kids before.

"Johnny? Where are you?" I yelled from the doorway. He didn't answer so I began my search through our new house. It's the offseason so we are back in Texas until football starts again. Most of the lights were off so I figured it wouldn't be hard to find him. I went into the kitchen to see if he was there but he wasn't. He wasn't in the living room. I went down the long and dark hallway. I quickly checked in our lighted bedroom but he wasn't there either. I peaked my head in the bathroom and was let down again.

"Johnny?" I yelled again. Wherever he was, he was being really quiet. I reached the end of the hallway and my last place I could check. The nursery. I leaned my head in and finally found him. He was sitting in the rocking chair that in two short months would be used quite frequently. His head was in his hands.

"What are you doing?" I asked quietly, near a whisper as if our baby was sleeping in he nearby crib. My boyfriend looked up at me. His usually shining eyes seemed dimmer, telling me something was bothering him.

"I was just thinking," Johnny said nervously. He leaned his head against the back of the rocking chair, taking a deep breath.

"What were you thinking about?" I asked. My hands were resting on my growing bump as I stood in the doorway still.

"Well, I was just thinking. I've never really held a baby before. I don't know how to do it," he said frustratedly. He had adjusted his hair that he messed up in his frustration.

"It's easy," I said walking towards him. I grabbed the pink football that sat on the white oak changing table on my to Johnny. I sat on the foot rest that sat directly in front of the rocking chair. Johnny gave me a crooked smile, probably feeling embarrassed that he didn't know how to hold his future daughter.

"What are you doing?" he asked, crinkling his eyebrows at the football in my hands. He didn't understand the point of grabbing the ball.

"Look. It's just like holding a football," I said. I nestled the football in my arms. "See, you have to have a tight grip on it, to protect it. You have to hold her with two hands for support," I said glancing up from the football in my arms to meet Johnny's eyes. They lit up, showing his understanding of what I was teaching him.

"Let me try," Johnny said reaching for the football. I transferred it from my arms to his much muscular ones.

He stared at the football carefully, as if it was his real daughter. He did it just as I did. He put his throwing arm under the football and placed his other arm over the top to secure it. "It's just like football," Johnny said amazed.

"Except you can't throw spirals with your daughter," I said causing Johnny to laugh.

"Do you think changing her will be anything like football?" Johnny asked. I didn't know if he was joking or not. He placed his quarterback hand on my belly.

"I don't think so Johnny," I said with a smile.

"Well, I don't know how to do that either," he confessed.

"Don't worry, we'll get through this together," I assured him. His face as inches from mine and he finally closed the gap between our lips. His kiss sent a warm sensation through my body causing the baby to kick. He pulled away from the kiss when he felt the baby kick on his hand.

"Oh my god! Anna did you feel that?" Johnny asked in amazement. He never felt her kick before.

"Of course I felt that Johnny. She's inside of me. I think she just wanted to say hello to her daddy " I said kissing Johnny again. He kissed my likes and then my bump, trying to get his baby girls attention again.

I hope you liked it! Thanks for requesting @annabanana1799
