And we built this love
From the ground up

"Luke, there's just one more box in the truck," I say. I have a box in my Ahmad and am nearly out of breath from carrying it from the truck and through the long driveway and into the house.

"Okay, I'll get it," Luke says as he runs out of the house. How was he so full of energy after moving all day?

Since we moved all of the boxes I go into the living room to relax. I'm sitting on the new couch as Luke comes back with the last box. "What are you doing?" He asks as he comes into the living room.

"Just relaxing," I let out slowly, leaning my head back against the couch.

"That sounds amazing. Do you want a glass of wine?" Luke asks.

"That sounds amazing," I say without hesitation. I can't think of a better way to end a long day than relaxing in our new home with a glass of wine.

Luke comes back into view with two glasses of wine. He sits right next to me on the couch, will is not very comfy due to not being used.

"Doesn't this remind you of the first time we met?" Luke asks. He pulls my feet over his lap.

"Kind of. Minus the wine. We weren't really wine drinkers back then, just liquor," I laugh at our college memories.

It was finally move in day. The day when the anxiety of leaving home for the first time came to be a reality as your parents helped you drop off your things and left you miles away from home.

I was excited though. Boston College had always been my dream school and I was finally making my dream come true. My parents were helping me unload the back of their minivan with all of the things I needs to survive college.

In my arms I carried a large box that was labeled with the words "desk and school supplies". It was strangely heavy. On top of that box was a box full of sheets and pillowcases. I couldn't see above the boxes so walking in a straight line was kind of difficult.

Out of no where comes a loud bang and my boxes go flying. Pencils and pens burst into all different directions and my sheets are sprawled about the green lawn. Everything becomes dark as a large figure is blocking the sun. I quickly crouch to the ground to begin searching for all of my supplies.

"Oh my gosh. I'm so sorry. I wasn't paying attention to where I was walking. Are you okay?" The figure bends down to my height. He begins helping me grab the sheets and pencils and pens and put them into their respective boxes.

"I'm fine," I assure him. His voice was sexy and deep and his hair curly and long. His eyes were so deep and brown and gorgeous. Never had I been so instantly attracted to a man like this. We get the boxes all filled again in a short time.

"I'm Luke," he says holding out his hand. I've never seen a hand so large and I could only assume he played a sport based on his build.

"I'm Emily," I say taking his hand. His hand completely wrapped around mine enough so that you couldn't see the smaller hand of the two.

"Can I help you carry these to you dorm?" He asks as a sideways smile appears on his lips. His smile was beautiful and made me blush.

"That'd be great," I smile back.

"Isn't it crazy how we got here?" He asks, reminiscing over our past.

"I never thought I would be moving in with the jock that all of Boston College was in love with," I said clinking our wine glasses together.

"The best is yet to be," he says. He squirms in the couch and reaches behind him.

"Emily, you have been the light of my life. You've been by my side through every celebration and hardship. You've talked me through the bad times and smiled with me through the good times. I know you said we got the last box already but I have just one more," Luke's smile shines brightly as he pulls the small black box out of his pocket. "Emily, my love, my soulmate, my best friend will you please marry me?" He asks. He stands from the couch and gets down on one knee. I hadn't realized I was crying.

"Oh my god. Luke of course I will!" I squeal. I hadn't seen this surprise coming at all. He slides the gorgeous ring on my finger and I pull him to me as I wrap my arms around him.

"I love you," he whispers into my ear. I pull away from his shoulder.

"I love you long time," I say before finally kissing my new fiancées lips.
