Sick of all the insincere, so I'm going to give all my secrets away

The Cowboys just won their last regular season game, assuring them the number one seed in the NFC. The whole team is invited over to Jason Garrett's house to celebrate. This was a might feat for the team, when Tony Romo went down in the preseason nobody expected them to make it this far. Then came in the two rookie sensations to save the whole town of Dallas. One of the Rookies was the quarterback, Dak Prescott, who was incredibly good looking but also talented at his job. The other rookie just happened to be my older, and very protective, brother.

Dak and I had been talking a lot lately. We exchanged numbers after one of the home games, but my brother didn't know. Zee hated when I talked to his teammates, he always did. He claimed he knew how football players were, and that he wanted better for his sister.

"Let me know when you want to leave," Zeke says as he pulls up to his head coach's mansion. I nod and quickly split from his side, to prevent Dak from seeing us together. We have hung out a few times, but he didn't know who I was.

I enter the house and am instantly overwhelmed by the smell of cologne and Cowboys decorations. Large players fill the whole entry way, causing me to squeeze through, until I find the quarterback I am looking for sitting in a corner talking to one of is offensive lineman. "Hey Dak!" he quickly stands to his feet to greet me with a thankful hug.

"Condoleeza, I was getting worried you weren't going to make it!" He says, talking loudly over the music.

"Hey aren't you Z-"

"Dak, let's go outside. It's really loud in here," I say quickly cutting off the offensive lineman before he could finish his question. The celebratory music was pounding and the sooner we got out of here the better chance we had at hiding from Zeke. Dak takes my hand and leads me to the spacious backyard.

Coach Garrett had it beautifully decorated and landscaped. Lights were hung from wooden beams of the deck. It had a surprisingly romantic vibe for a football coach. Dak continues down the steps and leads me to a secluded corner where there is a bench. The music is barely audible from our corner of the lawn.

"How did you know this was here?" I ask as I snuggle in close to him.

"This bench is where I sat when Coach Garrett told me I would be the starter for as long as Tony was out. He sat over there in that bench," Dak said pointing to the bench right across from us.

"And look where that conversation took you," I smile up at him.

"I think I know a conversation that could take me even further..." Dak says adjusting in his seat to face me.

"Oh, really?" I say with a sideways smirk.

"I like hanging out with you ALOT Condoleeza, and I want to keep hanging out with you on a more exclusive level," He begins, I can feel my cheeks burning with color. "Will you be my girlfriend?" he asks.

"Of course I will Dak!" I say with glee. I place my hand on his cheek and pull him down to my height for a kiss. I don't know how long we were kissing for, because when his lips met mine it seemed to stop time.

We pull away from the kiss reluctantly and I smile up at him again. Finally I lay my head back onto his chest as his large quarterbacking hand reaches for mine. His thumb softly draws circle on my palm as I pull closer to him. The silence is comfortable... until it is interrupted by a door slamming. The lights produce a shadow of a man running down the stairs.

"Dak! Have you seen my sister?!" Zeke says nearly out of breath. My eyes widen as I feel my secret slipping out of reach.

"No, man. I didn't even know you had a sister," He answers. I try to stay as quiet as I can but Zeke keeps getting closer. He squints his eyes at me.

"Condoleeza? Is that you? What the hell is going on here?" Zeke says, not hiding his anger.

"Wait... you're his sister?!" Dak pulls away from me so he can see my face. I sheepishly laugh.

"I am. I'm sorry I lied. But once I got to know you more I didn't want to scare you off because I know how Zeke gets. I really like you Dak, I'm sorry for lying," I turn to Zeke now, is anger looks to have turned to shock. "Zeke, I know you don't like me being around your teammates but Dak and I are officially together. We've been hanging out for a while now and I think you are wrong about football players. Dak really cares for me, and I care so much about him. He makes me happy, please don't take that away from me," I plead.

The two rookies stare at each other and think. Neither of them looks angry, causing me to let out a breath I didn't know that I was holding in. Zeke breaths in sharply. "You better take good care of her man. She's my little sister and means the world to me," Zeke says avoiding eye contact with me and looking directly at his quarterback.

"Zeke, I have every intention on treating your sister the way she deserves to be treated. I promise," Dak says with a straight face, as he sneakily pulls me closer to his warm body. Zeke nods and finally looks at me.

"Let me know when you're ready to go," he says before walking back up to the mansion.

Once my brother is gone, Dak finally turns to look at me. "Why didn't you tell me?!"

"I didn't want to lose something that I felt so strongly about," I say sincerely. Dak caresses my face.

"You almost got me in trouble!" he says finally letting out a laugh. His laugh is beautiful and true. "Now, I'm going to punish you," he says standing up from the bench. He picks me up and throws me over his shoulder and starts running towards the pool.

"Dak! No! Don't!" I laugh. I hold on tight to him before he finally stops running and puts me down.

"Fine... I guess we could just kiss here instead," He says. His face is illuminated by the moonlight and he slowly closes the gap between your lips.
