I turn around and look at Tobias. Then I realize something, to the world, he looks scary. To me he is fierce. To the world he is mean. To me he is kind. To the world he is dumb. To me he is intelligent. To the world he is selfish. To me he is selfless, the world sees him as big and powerful. But I see him as a broken boy. And I love him for that.
I notice tears in the corners of his eyes threatening to spill. So I immediately run to him. I hold him in my arms. And I hold on as best as I can.
Now is the time I realize that I am causing this. I don't belong with these guys. It's okay though. I'll turn myself into Jeanine soon.
"You okay?" I ask him.
"Let's lay down." He says.
We go to lay down and he wraps his arms around my waist and slowly falls asleep.
Tonight's the night I leave. I think to myself. And fall asleep.
