Diamond

        Damn, Cruze was balling'. I watched him lay out fifty dollar bills just to pay for stuff I wanted. It tripped me out when he told me that he would spend every penny that he had on me. I've never been treated this special by a boy before, or anybody at that. I was holding so many shopping bags and I had Cruze's arm around my waist as we walked around the mall. We walked into a shoe store and he picked out some all white Adidas with black stripes for me to wear. I sat on the bench and tried the shoe on. Cruze sat right next to me and helped me get it on my foot. I didn't know what it was, but after I told him my biggest secret, I felt more attached to him. He and momma were the only people in the world that knew. After he tied the shoe laces for me, I turned to him. "Look uh........Cruze, I'm not a gold digger. You don't have to buy my heart. These shoes are sixty dollars".I said as innocently as I could. I didn't want him to think that I was only with him because of his money. I really only wanted Cruze for the heart that he had.

"I don't care Diamond, I want to get them for you". He says. There was a question that I was dying to ask him. I didn't want to ask, but the words were crawling up my throat.

"Where did you get all this money"? As much as I didn't want to ask, it slipped out anyway.

"Uh.........my uncle. My Uncle Ronnie".

"Your uncle gives you thousands of dollars to just spend"?

"That's right". He says.

"Well". I say looking at him. "I still don't want these shoes, or any of this stuff..............I just want you". I hoped I was getting through to him.

"Well that's too bad. My baby gotta taste the best". He says stroking my cheek. He called me his baby. That made butterfly's flutter in my stomach.

"Your so different". I say. "Your not like all the other dudes that be wantin' me".

"That's cuz I'm the real thang". Cruze says inching closer to me.

"Your just so real with me". I explained. "Cruze I--". And his lips were on mine in an instant. It seemed as if everything around us had turned into a beautiful, quiet rain forest with the sound of a water fall and birds chirping in our ears. It seemed like everyone around us had vanished and it was just me and Cruze. The last time I had shared a kiss with a boy, I hadn't felt so much of a spark like I did with Cruze. Tyrone hadn't been on it right. I never really cared about kissing, but with Cruze, it seemed right. It seemed like we were supposed to be doing it. I sank into him as he pulled me closer. He smashed his lips against mine, then when my lips parted, his tongue swooshed into my mouth like a snake. He moved his tongue in circles with mine and brushed it up against the roof of my mouth. I knew everyone in the store was looking at us and probably thinking about how fast I was, but I didn't care. I had never felt this before. I had never felt so alive. I grabbed the back of his neck and forced his head down closer to mine because I didn't care what anybody else thought. I was developing feelings for this kid. My heart raced as my tongue wrestled with his. I could start to feel my hormones kicking in. I pulled away when I felt myself getting too hot because I didn't want to start something that I couldn't finish. Cruze opened his eyes and starred into mine. A smile grew on his face. I smiled too, but then it faded when I looked up to see the forest gone, and everyone in the shoe store starring at us. Me and Cruze stood up and went to go pay for the shoes as if nothing had happened. When we left the store, Cruze threw his arm over my shoulders.

"So I guess you mines now right"? He says making me blush.

"Yours? Watchu mean yours"? I chuckled. He stopped me from walking any further then starred into my eyes.
