Chapter 24

Cruze

Summer was what I had been waiting for, but it was passing by so quickly. June had came and gone before we knew it. It was mid July and we were in Landover, Maryland looking for Slick. Black Pearl had called Slick up to trick him into agreeing to a meeting with us. We wanted to catch Slick off guard when we got at him. We didn't want him preparing for another war because it was just doing too much. Raheem had kept fucking with Black Pearl off and on after the visit to her house. I guess they were dating, but it seemed like all they did was bone eachother. He wanted Black Pearl to be there before Slick died so he could see that she had switched sides on him. He wanted Black Pearl to laugh in his face and tell him that death was what he got for fucking so many people over. I told Raheem that he had to be careful before Black Pearl ended up pregnant or he would end up like Slick, but he didn't listen to me. He told me  she was temporary.
It was nearly eight o'clock at night and me, Raheem, Miles, and Uncle Ronnie were all dressed in black suits and Black Pearl had on a skin tight black dress with gold lining going down the sides. We looked fresh to death as we entered the five star restaurant. He were posing as business men. Business men that talked strictly money. We were meeting up with Slick and his crew to talk about a fake drug trade that Raheem had made up from the top of his head. We called ourselves the Blue ville Boys. See, Slick only knew Calli, but he didn't know anyone from Calli's circle just like we didn't know anyone from his. The only people that we could recognize from Slick's team was the dope boy's that we were constantly at war with, but other than that, we didn't know any of Slick's boys that stood by his side like me, Uncle Ronnie, Miles, and Raheem did for Calli. We walked into the restaurant twenty minutes late for the meeting on purpose because Uncle Ronnie and Raheem had went to search for snipers before we went inside the restaurant just in case Slick might have tried to pull some shit on us. No matter what the circumstance was, we just knew not to trust Slick. When we walked into the fine restaurant, we noticed that no one was in the there, but Slick and two other men seated in the far back. There was one other waiter by the bar wiping down tables, but that was about it. We walked in as a whole as we neared them. We looked dope like we were about that action. Raheem carried a silver brief case by his side pretending like it was important, and Black Pearl walked with a sway in her hips next to him. When we got to Slick's booth, we stood right in front of them. When I saw Slick, I wanted to laugh in that niggas ugly face. He was only in his fifties, but he looked old as fuck. He had jet black jerry curls like James Brown, he was dark skinned, and had wrinkles all over his face, and his eye balls were yellow instead of white. When Slick saw Black Pearl his jaw dropped. Black Pearl smiled and went over to sit on his lap. I could tell that Raheem was mad, but he kept his composer. "Hey baby". Black Pearl said kissing Slick's chapped lips.

"Hey". He said starring up at us.

"Hi Benny, Hi Boom". Black Pearl said waving to the other two men. They didn't look like twins or brothers period so I wondered why their nick names were so close in rhyme. Benny was big, fat and mocha skinned. Boom was big and buff with light, creamy skin. I looked down at their pelvises and I could see the imprints of guns behind their shirts. Black Pearl smiled at Slick. He didn't smile back. Instead, he just looked up at us with an ugly grimace on his face. We all just stood there with our hands folded in front of us.

"So...........yall the Blue ville Boys huh"? He asked.

"Yeah". Raheem lied. "We've come to talk about making some moves out in Columbia, but we need your help because allot can happen when you fucks with the Colombians". Raheem said. He had stayed up all night trying to come up with this story and it didn't sound half bad.

"How did you find out about me"? Slick asked.

"We heard your name on the streets back in New York". Raheem told him.
