•Gerard p.o.v.•

I'm so glad my Frankie is back. He means so much to me, I can't live without him by my side, he is the only thing I care about.

I squeeze his hand and he glances at me, smiling as we walk out of the town.

This town is horrible.

I give him a quick kiss on the cheek, a blush creeping his young flesh.

Frank giggles as and soon enough, we see the sign telling us that we are exiting the town.

Frank sighs and bits his lip, making me wonder.

"What's wrong?" I ask, making sure that he is okay.

"I'm going to miss him.. Ray." He sighs again and looks down at the ground, not wanting to make eye contact.

I sigh as well, and pull him into a hug, kissing his brown mop.

"It's going to be okay, you have me now, we are in this together. He is in a better place now." I assure him, rubbing his back up and down soothingly.

"I know, just miss him that's all. But I'm glad that I have somebody amazing such as you now. Thank you." He places his hand on the back of my neck, and pulls me in for a long, sweet filled kiss.

I feel the spark only he can give me, I feel it each time we kiss.

I respond immediately by pulling him closer by the waist, smiling.

Our lips move tenderly, the breeze feeling good on our bodies.

After a few more seconds we pull apart, and I place a kiss on his forehead, taking a hold of his hand once more.

Exiting the town, all we saw was a long highway, leading to who knows were.

We are supposed to go west, considering we are going to California.

The highway is leading towards the west side, but I pull out my small country map incase.

"Okay, yeah, lets follow this highway. It will lead us to the next state." I tell Frank, nodding in response.

I fold the map and put it back in my pocket neatly, not wanting to ruin our only way of surviving this journey.

Our shoes shuffle around dirt as we continue to walk along the highway, silently.

No cars pass by unfortunately, so we can't hitch a ride.

It's so silent, that we can hear our own footsteps, echoing through.

I clutch Frank's hand tighter, having a bad feeling hit me.

I was right.

Suddenly we hear somebody yell Frank's name from the distance, Frank froze in shock.

We both turn around and far behind, is Stefan, at the town exit.

We can see his shadow, not to close.

We stay completely still, cause we notice that he has something in his hand that resembles a weapon.

It's a gun.

Frank grabs my arm and starts to tug at it, shaking.

I look at him dead in the eyes and he pleads for us to leave.

"Oh Frank.. Baby where are you?" Suddenly you hear a gunshot, not pretty far away, and that snaps me back into reality.

I quickly tug Frank with me, down the highway, trying to leave this horrid place forever.

"Gerard, hurry!" He whines as we run, glancing back often.

I glance back and hear faint footsteps coming towards our direction, making me pick up the pace.

"I WILL FIND YOU!" Stefan's faint voice echoes as we reach the border for the next state.

I read the sign quickly, before running again.

"Welcome to Kentucky."

The road is dustier and you can see that not a lot of people go down this highway.

To be honest, this place gives me the creeps.

We continue to run, hair blowing out of my face, a mixture of dust involved with the wind.

Frank is still clinging onto me, huffing as we continue to run.

I won't let him find us. Never.

Our steps echo and slowly fade away as we come to a halt, deciding that we have ran for a good amount.

"Is.. He gone?" Frank breathes hard, absorbing whatever oxygen he can.

I sigh and nod at him, making him smile that adorable smile of his.

"Kentucky huh?" We turn and walk, hands interlocked.

I look ahead of us, seeing another sign telling us that deer may cross the road.

"Yeah. I've never been here. It seems so.. deserted." I tell him, rubbing my thumb on the back of his hand, glad I have him as company.

As my boyfriend.

"At least we have eachother right?" He glances up at me with his pleading eyes.

I peck his lips for the millionth time, getting that same spark.

"Of course, I would never leave you. Not in a million years." I tell him, smiling at his blush.

He giggles and squeezes my hand lightly, glancing at the road ahead of us.

Just the two of us, together.
