Love Me Never is the first book in the Lovely Vicious series.

Love Me Never revolves around seventeen year-old Isis Blake who has not fallen in love for quiet some time and she intends to keep it that way. She changes her appearance and moves to Ohio to help her mother escape a bad relationship.

All the girls in her new school want one thing - Jack Hunter, the Ice Prince of East Summit High. He is hot, smart, and cold. He never goes out with high school girls - though you could see him downtown hanging out with beautiful women. But all that changes when Isis punches Jack in the face. Suddenly everything is a game.

Don't love your enemy. Declare war on him.

I have to say that I enjoyed reading Love Me Never. The characters were absolutely enjoyable. They felt flawed and unique......I adore them! One of the characters I have especially had a blast reading would have to be Isis Blake; she has to be one of the best heroines I have read recently. Having read about her life before Ohio (i.e. being bullied because of her weight, being made fun of, fell in love but the guy humiliates and embarrasses her) I felt compelled to read this novel until the very last page. Then there was Jack. Jack Hunter, was totally hot and smart (I do have to admit it) but he was also cold.

In a way, Isis and Jack were too much alike (i.e. they both wanted to be in control) that it lead to a war between them both. Shaming, revealing secrets, spreading rumours, comments, retorts, and more. Overall, I felt for all the characters because in a way they were all going through issues of their own.

Sara Wolf did an amazing job conveying the relationship between each characters and the issues that effect many people. The novel, the characters and backstory had depth - though there were twists - and it was absolutely delightful to read.

If you enjoy reading YA, contemporary, and/or romance then you should definitely pick up and read Love Me Never today :)

Summary from Goodreads:

Previously published as Lovely Vicious, this fully revised and updated edition is full of romance, intrigue, and laugh-out-loud moments.

Don't love your enemy. Declare war on him.

Seventeen-year-old Isis Blake hasn't fallen in love in three years, nine weeks, and five days, and after what happened last time, she intends to keep it that way. Since then she's lost eighty-five pounds, gotten four streaks of purple in her hair, and moved to Buttcrack-of-Nowhere, Ohio, to help her mom escape a bad relationship.

All the girls in her new school want one thing—Jack Hunter, the Ice Prince of East Summit High. Hot as an Armani ad, smart enough to get into Yale, and colder than the Arctic, Jack Hunter's never gone out with anyone. Sure, people have seen him downtown with beautiful women, but he's never given high school girls the time of day. Until Isis punches him in the face.

Jack's met his match. Suddenly everything is a game.

The goal: Make the other beg for mercy.

The game board: East Summit High.

The reward: Something neither of them expected.

Twenty years later, she picked up a keyboard and started mashing her fists on it and created the monster known as the Lovely Vicious series. She lives in San Diego with two cats, a crippling-yet-refreshing sense of self-doubt, and not enough fruit tarts ever.
