Summary from Goodreads:

A football fanatic sports columnist. A sexy Italian soccer player. When in Rome . . .

Maggie Lane, a sports columnist and diehard football fan, is not exactly enthused when her editor-in-chief sends her to Rome, Italy, to write a feature story on Italian soccer star Marco Valenti. The last thing she wants to do is spend three weeks covering soccer right before the American football season begins. But Maggie's job becomes a lot more appealing after meeting a sexy Italian man on her first night there.

One hot kiss and she is done for . . . but once Maggie discovers her mysterious Italian is Marco Valenti, she's not sure if she'll be able to write her story objectively, or if she'll even have to. Marco stuns the world when he announces his retirement, and without an explanation as to why, rumors fly and the tension mounts. Despite Maggie's protests, she is forced to stay, but with each passing day, she becomes enchanted with the beautiful city, as well as finds herself breaking her cardinal rule—never fall for a player.

As Maggie learns the truth about Marco, she has to make a decision: protect him or keep her job. Will Marco be able to trust her with his secrets? Can she trust him with her heart?

Review:

Brittney Sahin has done it again!

Having read and adored Brittney Sahin's Hidden Truths series, I could not wait to dive into Forever Rome.

Forever Rome is such a romantic, loveable, wonderful, sweet book. Maggie, a sports reporter, was realistically cute. Her honesty and humour just made everything that much more perfect. Seriously, she is the type of character I would want to be friends with.

Maggie is sent to Rome to write a piece on Marco, an Italian football (a.k.a. soccer) player. The closer she gets to Marco, the more torn she gets between wanting to respect Marco's privacy but also needing to complete the article for her job. Between walking and dining in Italy to falling for one of the biggest football players in Italy, Sahin has managed to weave such a delightfully intricate novel.

For this being Brittney Sahin's first contemporary novel, I have to say she pretty much nailed it. The chemistry between Marco and Maggie, the interactions they had with one another, and the heat that seemed to be radiating from them both was amazing. Brittney Sahin's writing draws you in and captivates you from beginning to end.

I recommend you buy Forever Rome today, that's right, this very instant. It is just that sweet, romance, and freaking hilarious. It is everything you would want in a contemporary romance novel. Seriously, buy it right now.

About The Author:

Brittney Sahin began writing at an early age, with the dream to be a published author before the age of 18. Although academic pursuits (and, later, a teaching career) interrupted her aspirations, she never stopped writing—never stopped imagining.

It wasn't until her students encouraged her to follow her dreams that Brittney said goodbye to Upstate New York in order to start a new adventure in the place she was raised: Charlotte, North Carolina. Here, she decided to take her students' advice and begin to write again.

In 2015, she published her first novel, Silenced Memories. When she is not working on upcoming novels, she spends time with her family. She is a proud mother of two boys and a lover of suspense novels, coffee, and the outdoors.
