Chapter Five

Rose

All I could see was Serina whispering over her sister's physical form. The tears streaming from both of our faces. Looking up, I see the two girls who I’ve been waiting for standing before me. They help me to my feet, before turning me around to see Serina and Anastasia. Shaking my head, I walk out of my bedroom, and into Serina and Anastasia’s.

                “This is impossible. I have to get to Alexis.” I whisper to myself, sitting down on Anastasia’s bed. Closing my eyes, I try to send my spirit to Alexis, but it just doesn’t work.

                “What in the world?” I say, frustrated. Suddenly, theres a knock from inside my bedroom. Like . . . someone falling over. Standing up, I make my way back to the door. Ariana stands outside the door of my room, her eyes wide.

                “Air, what’s happening?” I ask, looking at her, confused.              

                “It’s Serina. She’s out for the count now too.”
