Normani’s POV
“Mani, get up!!!” Mila shouted, jumping on top of me.
“Mila, get off!!” I pushed her off of me and she landed on the floor before popping right back up.
“We have to go!”
“Where?!” I asked, as she pulled me out from under the sheets.
“I…um…how about…the mall?”
I glared at her. “Um, how about no?”
“Okay, fine…how about I take you to breakfast…at Krispy Kreme?” She said carefully.
I nodded. “Alright, let me go get dressed…”
“Yes!” She squealed.
“Step three; check!” I heard Dinah yell from the living room.
I turned around, confused and Camila immediately stopped smiling. “Uh…she’s trying to…build a…birdhouse…and she’s taking it step…by…step…”
“Whatever, Mila…” I answer, not believing her.
“’Kay, let’s go!” She cried as she dragged me out of my bedroom and to the elevators.
“You didn’t give me a chance to wash my face!”
“There’s a bathroom in Krispy Kreme!!!”
Dinah’s POV
“Dude, where are you?!” I screamed into the phone.
“I’m almost there!” Troy yelled back. “There’s traffic here, calm down!”
I groaned. “Well, can you hurry up?! I can’t do this alone and you’re the only one that can help me!”
“Alright, I’m outside the building, I’m coming; I promise!” I hung up and turned back to my check list. The next thing we had to do was rent out the indoor pool on the first floor of our impartment building, and then find a way to set up some type of slideshow production.
“Okay, first of all, isn’t it dangerous to put electrical equipment next to an indoor pool?!”
“Troy!” I shouted. “Good, you’re here! So, the first thing we have to do is- wait you think the slideshow’s a bad idea?”
“Yes!”
“Well, what else do you think we should do?”
“I don’t know…is swimming the only thing they did on their first date?”
“It’s the only thing we saw…they went back to the bus almost immediately after.”
“Well, gee that’s helpful!”
“Hey!” I protest. “It’s not like you could do any better!!”
“Okay, fine, whatever; what are we going to do first?”
Lauren’s POV
I paced back in forth in the parking lot outside of the restaurant, waiting for Ally to come out of the bathroom. Dinah was supposed to call me any minute to say that everything was set up. I kept having doubts that this whole plan was almost pointless; leading Mani and Ally to an indoor pool wasn’t really going to do anything.
I jumped and almost dropped my phone when Ciara’s “Body Party” blared from the speaker. “Man, I really need to remember to turn the volume down!” I mumbled before answering the call.
“Alright, we’re ready!” Dinah said excitedly.
“Did you find some way to make it more interesting than just an indoor pool?” I teased.
“Yes! What kind of friend would I be if the only thing I did to patch up a relationship was rent an indoor pool?!”
“Whatever, Dinah…Ally’s coming; I’ll see you at the apartment.”
“You ready to go, Ally?” I asked her, trying to sound as happy as possible. She nodded and got into the passenger seat of the car. Let’s do this!
Camila’s POV
“I can’t believe you ate six donuts!” Mani exclaimed as we left Krispy Kreme.
“Hey! I was hungry and the donuts were small!” I answered as we got in the back seat of our car.
“Ready to go back to the apartment, girls?” The driver asks.
I shook my head. “Not yet!” They both turned to face me and I felt my cheeks up as I thought of an excuse. “Uh, I think I forgot something in the store!”
“Do you want me to go with you?” Mani wanted to know.
“No! I’ll go by myself; I’ll be right back!” I sprinted out of the car and back into the restaurant just as Dinah’s favorite song played from my phone. “What took you so long?!” I demanded.
“You could’ve just said ‘hello’!”
“Is everything ready?!”
“Yep! Come on over!”
“Okay, we’ll be there soon! Has Lauren left yet?”
“Yeah they left a few minutes ago.”
“Alright; I’ll see you there!”
“Bye!”
